We came to town for a college visit to UNI and it only took us 10 minutes to get to campus. We also LOVED the continental breakfast - complete with biscuits and gravy. We stayed at another AmericInn in Ames, IA recently and, for the price we've paid, it's our new favorite place to stay!

Our room was freezing when we arrived, but we turned the thermostat down. While we explored and ate supper downtown, it was much better upon our return. Granted, we were there on a day when the heat index was near 100.

Nice room. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just so so which didn’t make or break the stay.

Breakfast was just ok. Great waffles. Good coffee. Just not too many choices. Scrambled eggs weren’t hot. We usually don’t choose a place based on breakfast anyway.

Easy location to get to from highway and places to eat near by us.

No ice bucket, cups, coffee pot , breakfast was lacking in what was offered.

Very convenient location of Route 20W! Property was very nice, rooms very clean and well equiped. Staff wonderful.

I didn't have breakfast there. The location is great. Honestly the biggest thing for me was having the hot tub in the king suite. I planned a romantic weekend with my sweetheart and we both loved that.

The people at the front desk were exceptionally engaging. I appreciated the breakfast very much. I also really liked that coffee and ice water were available immediately in the lobby when I checked in and throughout my stay.

I would have liked to have gotten a piece of fruit in the lobby or at breakfast, although I understand fruit is expensive. Bananas, however, are pretty cheap and not messy.

Pool was very nice, room was very clean and staff was accommodating and very sweet!

The cleanliness and the staff.

Everything was good. I had trouble finding it but that’s because my GPS is not very reliable. Old phone and what not…

The staff was incredibly friendly and made suggestions for places to go and things to visit.

It was not as close to our activities. However, it was not much of an inconvenience. It was a bit difficult finding the entrance.
