The hotel is unique. We like how large and roomy the room was.
Dawn, who checked us in, claimed we didn't have a reservation. We booked it thru Booking.com and had paid for the room. She asked if we charged it on MASTER card. It was paid for on Discover. She then typed our name in and got us a room with no problem. I did get a receipt upon leaving. Everything was OK. The way we were greeted is the reason the hotel is getting a GOOD rating. Telling someone you don't have a reservation isn't my way of greeting guests.

The hotel is a beautifully renovated building with nice rooms. There is a lot of parking and for us it was perfectly located for our business visits.
The wifi didn't work, and it even seems you needed to register before using it, but we never could find out, as it didn't work in the first place. We called the reception and they connected us with "technical support", but they didn't get any further than "make sure your wifi is not turned off"... The breakfast is so-so.

The breakfast itself was good. The staff made it feel special. If one books through booking.com the breakfast is included, so it becomes even more reasonable. It's a bit pricey for what you get if paying for it. The coffee in the room was good and available on request all day. I love how they converted it from a foundry to a hotel and kept the industrial feel while still making it a beautiful place to stay. I found out my grandfather worked in that foundry.
The ice machines were out most of the time. They must have been dumping the ice into the pool because it was really cold! The toilet lids don't match the toilet, making a gap on one end and a porcelain ledge on the other. TMI?

The hotel overall was a very cool, industrial vibe but also welcoming. Loves the high ceilings of the rooms.
We booked because it had a "heated pool" to spend our time in. The pool was definitely not heated and we would not go in it just based on that. It was also just barely 3 ft deep so unless your planning a party for toddlers up to 6 year old this is not the place I'd book for family swimming.

From the time we walked in the doors to the time we left, we felt welcomed and comfortable! The room was huge and the beds were super comfortable. Rhonda in the bar took good care of us even when she was very busy and keeping up with a rowdy crowd of drinkers! Knowing some history of the building made it extra special to be there.
Breakfast wasn't included as listed on the reservation.

The facilities are beautifully done and comfortable. The bistro food is good. Breakfast was great and lunch/dinner was great also.
We were not able to get the shade up in our room so it was a bit dark for my liking in the morning. It was a short stay so we didn’t ask for it to be fixed. I think you have to request for room service which we didn’t know so we returned to our room after being out and it had not been serviced. They only put two sets of towels in the room and we are a family of four so we had to ask for extra sets each day.

Nice suite.
Friday night our staff was not pleasant. We also tried to swim Friday night and the pool was ice cole. I called the front desk and they said they would call maintenance. When we left on Sunday it was still not fixed. A pool is a must when we book. We were very disappointed.

The staff was amazing and extremely helpful it was our first time at this location and that made our stay even more comfortable.
The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was how sound carries throughout the walls. I could hear everything going on around me.

The staff was excellent. I was in town for my twin Sister's funeral. They were so kind. Very clean. Very well put together. My room was huge! I will stay again in the future.
The room I was in had a tub in the bathroom. I really prefer walk-in showers. Tubs are very difficult to use for anyone with a disability, or problems with functioning. Test was the only thing I didn't like.

I loved that it had a restaurant on site. I liked the look of the inside of the hotel. It was next to the John Deere Museum that we wanted to go to.
I didn't like that the pool was too cold to swim in and I didn't like that breakfast cost extra.
