I was blown away by the incredible value, with a massive hotel room with a closet, fridge, and bathroom/shower. Self-check-in was easy, and their customer service over LINE and Booking.com was excellent (and English-friendly) and quick to respond! Conveniently located to get anywhere you need to go in Kaohsiung, and all for the price of a hostel bed in most of the world. I could not recommend it enough.

The walls were a little thin, and the air conditioning is great, but when you first walk in, it is not on and it's pretty balmy. VERY MINOR NITPICKS, it was a very impressive stay, especially at the very economical rate.

What I liked the most is the location, it is placed very near to the metro, maybe a 10-minute walk, where you will pass-by many convenient stores and food stalls/restaurants. The vicinity is peaceful, near the river where you can stroll around the morning and explore many nearby attractions. With regards to the hotel itself, I think it really exceeded our expectation! Though it is an old building (the elevator in the right side was a little bit rundown) they made each floor a cute quirky design and upon reaching your assigned floor in front of the elevator are free hot/cold water, snacks, cereals, tea & coffee. The room is very roomy, and basic amenities were provided. They even have a socket adapter just in case you don't have any travel adapter with you! (which I think was very considerate and well thought of ;)) So, overall we were very well pleased with our stay in this hotel. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

As I have mentioned, the building is a little bit old, so we had a difficulty removing and inserting the key on the door (maybe the locks are a bit rusty already). Other than that we didn't face any major issues that hinder us from enjoying our stay there.

Located close to Love River invites for long and relaxed walks along the river (at night the bridges are illuminated in different colours). But also the pulsating neighbourhood with many little shops, retaurants, cafés (special recommendation: the cozy 'Good U Café' in just 20m distance at the corner next to the bridge) and a night market as well as various small and big temples nearby is worth to get discovered instead of heading to the closest subway station ('Yanchengpu') in 8-minute walking distance. From there it just needs a few minutes more to walk to the very popular Pier 2 area that includes attractions such as the Great Harbour Bridge or the Kaohsiung Music Center, or just one subway stop ('Sizihwan') and a short walk to catch the Cijin ferry. The very comfortable bigger room (thanks a lot to the very kind staff for the upgrade surprise at my arrival!), flooded with bright daylight, was equipped with a big fridge, an extra sofa plus couch table, a long table perfect for working on the laptop and a spacious bathroom. On the floor water, coffee, tea and little snacks are offered for free. And, also not unimportant, the wifi works very well. Another special recommendation: There's access to the roof by elevator that offers an amazing overview to the Love River and the surrounding area.

Very spacious and excellent location. The river is very pleasant to walk around at night and there's plenty of food and grocery options. Staff was great and it's right above two laundromats.

It's not very soundproof so it was a little rough when there were noisy neighbors at night.

I booked online last minute and could.not male calls. The staff immediately whatsapped me and came to let me.into the room They were so kind and friendly. There was constant tea and coffee and snacks and the room was light and airy and clean. Good hairdryer and also a TV.the only thing I did not like was the pillows as they were so big! But it gets 10/10. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this hotel with so much character and lovely staff.

I prefer smaller pillows. Thats all.

Very nice owner. Speaks good English. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm but she allowed us to check in at 1pm. The room is clean and spacious. Has a lift. Excellent bath tub with hot water. Full amenities. Has snacks outside the room. Conveniently located near convenience shops and restaurants. Just by the Love River. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect

Beds were comfortable, requested extra soft pillows and they provided. Staff responses were quick, self check in directions were clear and easy to follow!

Noise was a little too loud in the night, couldn’t decipher what some of the thumping sounds were. Location is a little far but not terrible, about 8 min walk to the nearest MRT station (O2).

Great location close to Love River. Walking distance or 1 metro stop to the ferry to Cijin. Lot's of bars and restaurants in the area. Easy accessible with keys in a keybox. Hot and cold water, coffee, tea and cookies in the "breakfast" area. Even if this is a hotel without any staff it's easy to get in contact with them via message and they answer right away!

The beds and pillows are rather "hard"

Great location just by the Love River with easy access to metro and nice walking area down by the river. Nice big room with refrigerator and a large bathroom. Even if no staff in place the email communication worked great with quick respons to any questions.

The bed and the pillows were quite hard.

The place is good, the room is clean and spacious. I like that they always replace the biscuits and include other food for the customers.

It was my first time to experience self-check in and quite different from the traditional. I hope they will have a detailed instruction on how.
