The place has a friendly, quirky atmosphere and decor and a lot of extra conveniences for travellers, like laundry room, common room with kitchen, free popcorn and juice, etc. So it has all the advantages that are normally offered by hostels, but the rooms are of hotel standard. My room had its own mini fridge and desk like any business hotel. The bathrooms have an ultra modern design and the beds are large and very comfortable. The breakfast spread is really huge, and the breakfast room overlooks the rooftops and city skyline. All the staff are very friendly, and the frontdesk staff speak very good English. Best of all, it is just a couple of streets away from the Pier2 warehouses and waterfront, and a 5 minute walk from the Orange metro line. I was very happy with my stay and cannot think of anything that would have improved it. It was extremely good value for the price.

I would honestly say that this was a perfect choice during our stay in Kaohsiung. To summarize... 1. Location Right near the Pier 2 Art Center and right next to famous beef noodle place (a must go). It is also near 2 convenience stores and 2 drugstores so you can get anything you need. The MRT is a few minutes away as well. It is not in the bustling downtown but you can get anywhere easily by MRT or you can just take a uber anywhere and it doesn't cost that much. So I would say that this location is ideal. It's also pretty quite and calm so I found it relaxing. 2. Hotel Staff Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and willing to help at anytime. From the individuals at the desk to the cleaning staff to the people working in the dining area. Everyone is just extremely friendly and kind. I've seen people say that their English isn't the best but then it's also Taiwan so expecting people to speak English well is kind of ridiculous (in my opinion) and if you need help communicating, then you can use google translate. 3. Hotel Faciliites They have a really nice rest area and waiting area that anyone can use. They even give free popcorn which is quite nice I think. There is also a laundry room which was extremely helpful. Washing is free (washing powder is provided) but you do need to pay NT 50 for the dryer but that is really nothing. 4. The Free Breakfast I saw some comments saying that there weren't many western breakfast items.. It's Taiwan.... and you get a free breakfast included so just be grateful I guess? I found there was plenty and as someone who doesn't eat rice for breakfast I was fine with the breads and coffee. Truly, it's enough and plentiful. 5. Room itself The room was extremely nice and the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is nice too. Great water pressure and temperature. Rooms are cleaned by request. Overall, a really fantastic stay and I would stay here again if I come back to Kaohsiung.

I can honestly say there were no flaws to this stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was big and clean. We love the beds as well. Very clean bathroom. They have a guest lounge and a play area. My kids loved everything about this hotel. Location wise, quite easy to go around by walking or taking the orange line. There are also several food stores near the hotel. It's very near the Pier 2. Most stores open at 10am. We love that all the staff were really friendly and helpful especially those in the front desk as well as the cleanliness of all the areas.

Breakfast was delicious but more variety/selection could have been awesome. The lady that looks after the breakfast buffet was really friendly and attentive.

Very comfortable room and beds, very good shower. Not good or bad, but the area around us was much quieter than we expected (stayed during the week). Convenient for tourist spots like Pier 2 and Cijin Island but not the best for restaurants or nightlife.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations and was exceptional value for money. As an airline pilot I stay in a lot of hotels for work and leisure, and this one was better than many much more expensive hotels I have stayed in. The location was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and very clean, excellent bathroom with shower, bath, Toto washlet and free amenities, comfortable beds with excellent linen, fridge, quiet effective aircon, room was quiet with secondary glazing on windows, use of lounge with cooking facilities and free excellent cappuccino from coffee machine and free popcorn! Kept my luggage for me after checkout. Won’t hesitate to go back next time I visit Kaohsiung.

Really struggling to find anything I didn’t like - the only thing I missed was bedside lights.

This hotel is exceptional and far exceeded my expectations for the price. The beds are really comfy, the bathroom was high quality, the staff are lovely and there is plenty of snacks and lounge area where you can use the microwave etc. Breakfast was vast and some items changed daily. Plus a fab laundry and all in a great location

There really wasn’t anything but if I’m being picky there was quite a lot of road noise but that’s to be expected on a Main Street. Didn’t bother me but might others

Lovely, roomy, very clean room, great AC, cool extra facilities. The staff was super nice and courteous and very accomodating! Also really good communication prior to my stay. The hotel is within walking distance from Pier 2 and the orange MRT line which will take you to a number of tourist spots. I would love to stay here again, everything about this hotel is awesome. The floor to ceiling art adds character too:)

Everything was great, honestly. The lights in the bathroom were a little dim, but there was an extra mirror in the main room, one of those round, wall-mounted ones on an arm, which could be used for make-up instead:)

Room: clean and comfortable bed and pillow , toilet tiles are really non slip type which is really impressive Breakfast staff: can see that they are really putting effort in cleaning and sanitizing the area Front counter staff : very helpful, my mother in law was in the room when we were sight seeing outside , trying to call her in the room but she did not pick up. We called the front counter for help, the lady took the effort to go to our room to convey my message

The lounge provided at the 3rd floor is confy amd resourceful. I came earlier and had no battery left and they let me chill in the lounge while charging my phone. Theres also drinks and food provided. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of choice which i love. The room is big enough for me and its clean. I also love how convenient it is to walk to all public transport means. And its very near to love pier :))

not enough lighting, didnt have big mirror in the room. They only provide a small cosmetic mirror on the table

Staff was very helpful and friendly at check in and check out. The hotel has quite a few amenities, including a games room for younger guests. The laundry room was also a nice addition, there were multiple washing machines and dryers, so no need to queue or anything. Location was good, near a couple of train lines and lots of restaurants nearby.

As a foreigner, I was surprised to learn that toilet paper could not be flushed. This was more of a discomfort or we were not used to this, than anything wrong with the hotel though.
