I like this place very much and highly recommend it. It‘s very good for business stay or long stay, very modern and well maintained facilities. Good service.

My 2nd stay at Wenpin Hotel. Easily accessed from the nearby metro, 7-11 across the street, a short walk to night market, the rejuvenated waterfront area with LRT line that circles Kaohsiung, and Teresa's fabulous Latin restaurant plus other eateries. Friendly staff with enough English for those of us who need it, spacious rooms, use of umbrellas if required. My room had a small fridge with freezer section, a universal power point, TV with local channels, large windows with street view. Bathroom had combination shower/ bath and toilet with bidet function.

Not much to not really like. The hotel is old and tired but reasonably well maintained. It's good enough for a night or 2 at the price. Goes by Wenpin and Wenbin just to keep us guessing.

I was fortunate to have an excellent room with a big window facing the front. My bicycle was safely tucked away in the parking garage and I was happy to have a nice tub to soak in after a long day cycling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a free washing machine on the 6th floor (buy wash soap from the desk $30, the dryer cost $50) - all very helpful when cycling Route 1! I did not pay for the breakfast as they only had a couple of options delivered from an outside facility, but there are tons of local options including the 7-Eleven across the street. Though the hotel is a bit older, the room was clean and comfortable and location was very good. There were no noise issues the weekend I was there.

A small request: it would be helpful if there were a water dispenser on each floor.

A great hotel with clean rooms and many attractions nearby

The location next to Pier 2 and the convenience of getting around to the places of interest in Kaoshiung was the best thing. We stayed for 3 days and for one of those days wanted to go to Cijin Island. The ferry point was about 10 mins walk away. We also wanted to walk around Pier 2 art centre, the warehouses and the Love River. All just nearby. There is also a 7-Eleven across the road if you need anything. Parking is available but it can be a challenge manoeuvering in and out of the tight space.

It's a bit dated. We don't use bathtubs so the climbing in and out of the tub to take a shower was a bit inconvenient and the shower head needed replacing. Would be great if they could provide a bathroom floor towel too.

This is a hotel located in the city center, close to the MRT station and opposite a convenience store. It is very convenient for pedestrians and the staff are very polite. Although the room is not very new, it is very clean and quiet at night. I live very comfortably and sleep well. I like the enthusiasm of Kaohsiung and the warmth of this hotel. I will come back again.

I actually expected a newish hotel given that it is in redeveloped dock area, but not it has obviously been there for quite some years. But extremely comfortable, big room with a great bed (we may have been upgraded for some reason). And very nice staff and service. Breakfast (included) was excellent!! - see pic. Perfect location near pier, entertainment, metro station, with little supermarket type food shop nearby.

Booked early and got a great deal. The staff at Wenbin Hotel was friendly and helpful. I was very happy to stay here. Although the room is not very new, it is very clean and comfortable. Compared with other new hotels, the room is indeed much larger. The location is also very good, in the city center, very close to the subway, with a park and an art district next to it. It is very comfortable whether you are jogging in the morning or walking in the evening.

Allthough the hotel was very nice, we were disapointed with the room this room was not in the photo's on booking.com the shower was cold all the time. The bed was very comfortable. The room looked old. The staff were very helpfull and looked after us regarding taxi for sight seeing.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was poor. A 7eleven style sandwich (in a packet) with some bland fried food (fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets). My vegetarian wife also got chicken nuggets on her plate. The TV remote didn't work in the room, either, but that wasn't such a big deal.
