A perfectly comfortable one-bedroom. Kitchenette with microwave, no toaster. Plenty of DIY breakfast supplies including cereal, yogurt and fruit. Comfortable mattress. 15 minute walk downhill to center of town. Nice quiet neighborhood. Minimalist bathroom with quarter-round shower works well. Beautiful view of the harbor and St. Magnus spire.

No toaster or coffee maker. But we left a French press.

The suite was spotless, well appointed, the continental breakfast was super generous, and the house is only short drive from the middle of Kirkwall - so also easy to get out to all the incredible Neolithic sites close by. George was an outstanding host and provided critical help to us when weather caused our ferry off the island to be cancelled. He is also a docent with Historic Scotland, so he is a hidden gem for those who select this property.

The accommodation was so lovely. All you need for a relaxing & restful stay. Wonderful view from the living room over the harbour. A bench to sit on in the garden. Lots of provisions for breakfast. Walk into the town only 10 /15 minutes. Bus stop 4 Minutes away.

George was very welcoming and picked us up from the ferry at 23.00 hours, thanks so much for this. Fara is a lovely quiet place, nicely decorated and the location is outside Kirkwall so nice and peaceful but you can walk to town easily in 15 to 20 minutes.

Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Location was excellent for getting around Orkney. Accommodation was clean, quiet and comfortable. Our host, George, was very friendly and accommodating. Facilities were great, there was a fridge,microwave and toaster to help with preparing meals.

Very difficult to criticise as accommodation exceeded our expectations.

It's location was great, very quiet neighborhood. A lovely view of the harbor and town. Separate sliding door entrance, very private. Lots of room to spread out and have some quiet time. Lots of snacks and breakfast food available in the unit.

The shower stall was a bit tight.

Cosy but very spacious, meticulously cleaned, well equipped with appliances, and very generous provisions for self-serve breakfast. Decor was simple but tasteful. Bed was comfortable. Modern bathroom with easy-to-use shower. Local information supplied. Overall great value.

Everything. The living & bedroom was comfortable and clean with plenty of supplies. Located within a 10/15 minute walk in to central Kirkwall and no more than half hour drive to reach either the east or west coasts of the mainland.

Leaving. Five nights was not enough.

This felt like a real home from home , a lovely sized lounge/ dining room & good size bedroom with en-suite. Very comfortable & clean. A fabulous continental breakfast was left in our room with everything you could want. The view from the lounge over the harbour was a real bonus. It is just a short walk into town so ideal & a nice break from driving.
