Spanking new room and bathroom, sparkling clean and (even though not quite on the waterfront) the best location in town. Geeat cooked breakfast to order, though remaining buffet items could certainly be expanded a bit. Plenty of outlets for charging devices (including USB A and C) all around the room - especially plentiful by the bedside.

Shower water pressure. Reception mostly unmanned, though staff apparently was available in the attached pub. Online check in a complete waste of effort and time, as you need to fill out all the information again on a paper form upon arrival.

Lovely room complete with the only requirement we had to have for a trip away - a bath! The location is always ideal for getting to everything you need. Tesco a short walk away, and most other things closer even than that!

No faults with our stay in the hotel, and I can't even complain about the Neuk not having the food/drinks I wanted as what I got was delicious! It would definitely be a good idea to add a drinks menu into the food menu though as there was nothing to say what the choices were.

Location is very close to the town centre. Good WiFi. The room was clean and cleaned daily throughout the stay. On site restaurant with some excellent meals and all of the staff were incredibly helpful.

TV didn't pick up terrestrial channels and it was unclear how to cast from my device to it (if it was even possible). Would recommend taking a laptop/tablet just in case.

The Hotel joins up with a very good restaurant and a friendly bar, so you do not have to leave the premises. In a quiet lane just behind the harbour. Room was very spacious accompanied with small sofa and chair. Bathroom had a bath and shower, very spacious. Good selection at breakfast especially the fruit and yoghurt.

At first I thought it was expensive but on reflection it was a good choice for a stay longer than a day. No alternative at breakfast for butter and no oat milk available.

Cooked breakfast was very good, fruit, cold meats etc also available. Friendly serving staff. Comfortable King size bed. Bedroom included a kitchenette area. Very convenient location for the town and cathedral, as well as the harbour.

Parking available nearby, though not immediately outside the hotel.

Hand basin in bathroom of room 103 was far too low and therefore very inconvenient for people of normal height like us . The bathroom window could not be closed once opened to bring in fresh air.

The style and decoration of the hotel were lovely and useful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The staff was very thoughtful and kind.

Location was lovely- the driver had a difficult time reaching the correct entrance. Not a problem for us…. however, if raining or on a tight timeframe - providing detailed directions/mapping might be helpful. The low staffing was a bit of a surprise. With odd ways to get in after certain hours. Certainly not a fault of the hotel- more of what’s happening in the current economic situation.

The hotel was an excellent choice as far as access to the ferries, restaurants and the centre of Kirkwall. There was as a free car park at an easy walking distance down by the harbour. The restaurant onsite was very good and there was provision in the breakfast room for an early start eg ferry/airport departure. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Excellent location in the middle of the old town. Very good breakfast. The room was large with a nice bow window.

The check in/out desk is not staffed all the time and it was a bit confusing as to how to check out. However, someone was there when we needed to check out.

Staff were excellent - they were friendly and helpful. Good sized room/suite. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Centrally located. Pleasant dinner.

Our visit coincided with some major renovation/expansion work. Bar had no draught beers because of maintenance work.
