Mostly I like that it is an affordable vintage style motel, the staff is super nice and good communicators. I felt really safe and the area is quiet. I use this hotel everytime I stay in Wamego. Most attractions are an easy and short drive away. TV use is easy - good cable, but no new fangle streaming operations. Room was spotlessly clean, and bath was very nicely updated, with quality bath essentials. There seem to be plastic coverings on the bed under the sheets and kinda crinkly, but very comfortable. As your classic "vintage" motel, the room we had was dated in decor and doesn't appear in any of the pictures on the website, so if you book a queen it may or may not look like what's on the website. Themed rooms probably are accurate. The dated decor should NOT be a deterrent from staying here.

Simmer was in a state of change. For the charges, it was great. I was very happy with the bed. The shower was great, good water pressure. I gave my grandkids a bath and they had plenty of hot water.

I would have liked a chair to sit on in my room or a table and chairs. My son and daughter had rooms and between the three of us we couldn't play a game of cards, not enough seating in any of the rooms.

Perfect stop for a road trip. We wanted to see the Oz museum as we were driving through, and the Simmer Motel was absolutely the perfect resting spot for the occasion. Loved the outside door codes so we could enter our rooms directly upon late arrival without having to check in

We have lots of memories at the Simmer. We have met for there several summers for family reunions. Staff has always been friendly & accommodating. We like the family-friendly atmosphere, the room varieties & the large property.

The hotel recently sold. The new staff are working hard to remodel the property, which means that most of the outdoor features we’ve always loved (pool, BBQ grills, playground, etc) are shut down during renovations. This will be a 2-year or so process. But, work IS coming along & I have no doubt the updates & renovations are necessary. The staff is working very hard to complete the extensive renovations while staying in business. We will be eager to visit the completed project.

Was quite easy to get to no keys or cards to hang on to like how door lock when you close door it locks was hoping to stay Sept 2 check out on the 4 stay in same room I had room 102 with one bed let me know if it's open so I can book it please

It was in Wamego - cute town with some fun history and the Wizard of Oz Museum and Oz Winery (both nice places). Be sure to check out the yellow brick road. Bed had a thick pad on it which made it very comfortable. Room was a great size.

Check in was a little convoluted but the lady doing it was nice. Hopefully they can get that fixed. The bathroom door had a dirty towel hanging on the back of it when we check in, but mistakes happen so I didn't hold it against the hotel.

Location-Right off highway near Manhattan

Carpet was old & stained, stains in toilet, remote didn’t work to turn TV on/off. Outlet on one side of bed wasn’t accessible easily

Staff is always friendly

This is not the Ritz, but it’s an amazing hotel that accommodates my dogs and the most friendly staff

We were in the room decorated as Wizard of Oz. So super cute!!

We did not know how to get extra towels. More chairs outside would of been nice

The bed was fantastic. Most comfortable motel/hotel bed I have ever slept in.

Lack of clarity bout check-out process until I was already on the road.
