As an American who has lived and traveled in the Dodecanese and the broader Aegean over the past several years, I can say with great certainty (and great surprise) that Evanik provides one of the best luxury hotel experiences in all of Greece, let alone in Kalymnos. Yes, the amenities I experienced were absolutely phenomenal — a private jacuzzi room that had its own separate bed; separate walk-in shower and toilet rooms; an all-inclusive breakfast with hard-to-find preserves (kiwi jam??), homemade halva, complementary prosecco, and eggs prepared four ways... But the real prize here is the immensely caring staff. At 11pm on my second night, I began to exhibit symptoms of a severe infection. Without hesitation, the staff sprung into action to return me to my health. Theo, my hero at the front desk, called the only pharmacy open on the island at that time, acquired my medications, and personally delivered them to my door within minutes. Another sweetheart, Alex, assured me that I could relax and that there was no point spending the night in the hospital. Thanks to Theo, he was right. A special shout-out also to housekeeper Georgia, who went above and beyond to make my stay exceptionally comfortable. You might not expect such elite service from a hotel on one of the more local, charming, family-oriented islands in the Dodecanese... and that's exactly why I am so fond of Evanik: it has the comforts of a resort hotel, minus the obnoxious tourists who tend to go to these types of places. I have to add that as an Asian woman, I experienced none of the tacit racism I usually do at so-called "5-star" establishments elsewhere in Greece. Due to inconsequential technicalities regarding room size, Evanik is not officially listed as “5-star” — but let me assure you, this hotel exceeds the quality and service you would get at five-star accommodations in the usual places. The breakfast was 5 star from Chef George and sous chef Georgia. Greeting staff, Irene and Anastasia are beyond wonderful. Decor is stunning. Giant sculpture out front to meet you. A black boxer, gorgeous mascot. Staff was exceptional. We are seniors with some limitations and were treated with respect and kindness. Also amazing, with a short taxi ride to their other resort, absolutely divine. Incredible beach, pool, service. On and on. We are grateful and pleased. Despina

Beautiful modern classy hotel. I would recommend to anyone. Staff from checking in through to the restaurant staff are wonderful. They go above and beyond to please. Anastasia, Irini,the lovely manager and George (restaurant) were amazing. I can truly and honestly say that the galaktoburiko we were served was the best I’ve had in a very long time.The sweets were freshly baked the same day. Thanks for the hospitality.

The hotel is just fantastic! The entire team are professional, very friendly and they make their job with lot of attitude about the client experience. They do their best to make the guests feel like they are at home. The breakfast was amazing and delicious too. I want to send very special thanks to all of them. I recommend the hotel like the best choice on the island of Kalymnos.

Perfectly located in the main port of pothia, easy walking distance to all the restaurants, shops. Fantastic friendly staff that are very helpful, will organise things on request, call taxis etc. The room was impeccable and beautiful, very well presented clean, showers had great water pressure, nice touches everywhere, what I would expect to see in a 4 star hotel. Really the best place I've stayed at in Kalymnos.

The property itself very nice, good design, new, clean and comfortable. The location is very good, at the port but also has a parking space. It was very important for me. The staff is very attentive and polite. Check in and check our processes were smooth and staff was very professional. Cleaning in the room was very good.

Everything! Pictures of the rooms dont do the hotel justice! Much larger than what we saw in the pictures. Beautiful and freshly renovated. Nothing missing from the room, large hot tub, coffee, robes, thongs, great breakfast and amazing staff!

I booked a hot tub and when I first checked the room it was not working. It would be nice if I new before hand though staff told me the maintenance personnel was gonna fix it and they actually did very quickly.

This hotel was amazing. Right in the centre of Pothia. Anastasia and Irene were great hosts and were helpful with all our queries. Breakfast was good too, variety of choice. They provided us with parking for our hire car.
