Property is in a secluded location in the forest, surrounded only by nature. There is a pool - amazing, super relaxing! The rooms are extremely clean and super spacious. The staff of the hotel is AMAZING - one of our group had a birthday during our stay and the staff surprised us with a cake and candles - it was really special. The person at reception, the manager of the hotel, the bartender (amazing cocktails) and all of the waiters were fabulous - so friendly and sooooo nice! This is really a gem in Koh Samui and if you’re wondering to book it - search no more and go ahead, you won’t be disappointed. Also, if you’re lucky in the morning you can hear the elephants from the nearby sanctuary.

What's not to like about this hidden gem on the verge of the jungle! We were so amazed by the hospitality, the room, the location, everything. I did not have high expectations, but I would say this hotel is seriously underrated for this price-quality ratio. I think for us, it was in the details - hearing the elephants trumpeting in the morning, the waterfall softly gushing, the reception being some of the sweetest people we met on the island. We checked out in the morning, went for a boat trip and then returned to pick up our luggage in the evening, and while waiting for our driver, the kind lady from the reception served us water and made sure everything was fine with us. Also, if you like peace and serenity, this south-west side of the island is so quiet and nice to explore with a scooter. 10/10

What can we say about Cascade Tara! Nestled in the forest ,by a small stream, you feel connected to nature. Located 5 minutes off the main road in an idealistic tranquil location. We have had an absolutely fantastic stay. The rooms are large, clean, cool & fresh. There is plenty of free water, coffee & tea in the room. Good sized pool that is well maintained. The staff are so so friendly & helpful. Mini golf, small gym, free bikes to ride , motorbike to rent, walkways around the property taking in the nature. 5 minute trip to the local 7/11 store, arranged by the hotel. 50 batt. What's not to like!

Tranquility, perfect place to rest. Restaurant serves amazing food. Staff can solve every problem You have. They can organize You a motorbike, a car, a taxi service, a transfer - everything You need to go out somewhere. It was my pleasure to stay there & I can recommend it 150%!

Cascade Tara is a peaceful oasis tucked into the natural beauty of Koh Samui. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the calm and serenity of the place. It’s a bit removed from town, but that’s part of its charm—you come here to slow down, breathe, and really take in your surroundings. One of the most magical moments happened at 8:30 am, when I stood on the alley and watched a group of elephants cross the road right in front of me. That’s because the hotel sits right next to an elephant sanctuary, adding a truly unique and moving experience to your stay. The hotel itself offers so much more than just a place to sleep. There's a peaceful meditation area tucked away in the woods, a fun mini-golf course, a well-equipped game room, and a beautiful pool that's perfect for relaxing. Everything is designed to help you unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the rhythm of nature. The restaurant and the breakfast were yummy as well. It's the kind of place that stays with you—peaceful, memorable, and full of quiet wonders.

The property is located in the mountains away from the city which was great. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and mostly homemade. There are trails around the property you can take which leads to different points of the river as well as a meditation spot near one of them. A small hike up also gives you views of the area. It is family owned and they are all super nice.

Since it is located in the mountains be cautious of the insects and creatures around. We did run into a scorpion twice but not sure if we strolled by its home. Im pretty sure it was the same one on different occasions.

The hotel is located in a beautiful peaceful place. We were looking for some quiet place. Plants are amazing, you can notice someone’s effort here. The swimming pool is very nice and located beautifully in the centre of the hotel. Luckily our villa was near the swimming pool, which was very convenient for us and our 7 year old son. The hotel is very near the elephants sanctuary and 2 waterfalls. Food in the restaurant which we ordered for dinner (we were dining in the hotel all the time) was delicious.

Everything was really good, however I had some doubts if the way of using the shower is hygienic. I did not mind it, perhaps some people would. Breakfasts were OK for us, I cannot say they were delicious as the restaurants menu but it was tasty. You can order eggs, coffee. There are various vegetables, fruit, Thai options, some desserts too.

10 stars! What a gem. After 3 weeks travelling in Thailand, we had forgotten such luxury existed! So beautiful! Amazing breakfast. Fabulous service. Villas are comfortable, quiet, large and luxurious. Thoughtful services. Stunning swimming pool, Meditation zone, Games room, Crazy golf, Gym, Close to waterfalls, jungle, elephant sanctuary. Yes! You must explore - there are lots of places to sit in peace, away from everything. The meditation area and toilets there are amazing! I could go on, but just come and see for yourself!

It was top notch!

The staff was really amazing. They treated us like family and it was such a pleasure to stay there with a baby. Also, the resort was very calm and we could really enjoy they nature and the pool area, which we loved. We were able to watch elephants from our terrace and there were beautiful plants everywhere. The food was amazing at the restaurant and everything was really clean.

Only minor thing is that you need a car or a scooter to get to the beach. They rent scooters at the hotel but we had rented a car for our stay.
