We used this hotel while travelling through Austria to split a longer journey and chose it because it was relatively close to the freeway. As such, the location is not close to the town center, but pretty remote in a residential area at the town margin, nice and quiet. The room was nice and clean, and we slept well. Breakfast is served early and the choice and quality of foods is very good. We were very surprised to find such a fine restaurant attached to the hotel, with very knowledgeable and friendly staff and excellent gourmet meals, as well as more traditional choices. The foods and drinks were truly remarkable, and the waiter was very skilled and amiable. The restaurant inside is traditionally pleasant, and there is also a large terrace outside, nicely shaded in summer. Definitely worth visiting just for the restaurant alone, even if you don't intend to stay overnight.

The hotel is close and easy to access from the motorway,parking is free ,room was clean but was a strange smell inside.

All the instructions that I received was in German and was difficult to access my room ,I had to call the owner,the restaurant was close and we couldn’t buy anything to drink or eat at the property.We was expecting to find something/someone at the reception but all close .

The place is located in the outskirts of St. Pölten, at the edge of a meadow and a residential/industrial area, close to the A1 Motorway. It is mainly a restaurant associated with accommodation possibility in two adjacent buildings. The cosy restaurant is a perfect choice for an evening dinner and also for breakfast! The town center is 3-4 km and can be reached properly by bus,

My room was quite cold when I arrived, but later it became comfortable.

Breakfast - excellent. Staff - wonderful. Room - functional: a very fine tower fan helped us through the hot nights. High quality beds. Location - peaceful but you need a car to get to the city center (where there are available parking houses).

The only negative factor was that the restaurant was closed over the weekend.

We stayed in Roter Hahn just for one night on the way for vacation. Staff was very friedly, rooms comfortable and clean. The location is on suberb so within walking distance there is nothing to see. But for one night is very nice place. Breakfast was great.

Lovely hotel, free parking, everything is clean, rooms well equipped and spacious, very big bathroom, very good breakfast, friendly staff.

When we arrived we could not find anyone to check us in, no one on reception even though it was 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was supposed to be open, eventually we found a service team member who phoned someone so we could have the key to our room.

Friendly staff all over, comfy bed, clean, plenty of space, WiFi, parking. The restaurant served a very tasty meal, breakfast offered plenty of quality food items and a big variety of breads and rolls, the coffee ranked among the best I have ever had in a hotel. All in all.. a pleasant stay…

Perfect, family-run hotel. We arrived late, but with clear instructions, check-in was smooth. It’s quiet, close to the highway, with parking space right in front of the hotel. The room was spacious, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast was really good.

Not a luxury, but everything was functional, comfortable and clean. There are 2 free parking lots one in front of the house and the other one at the rear. But what indeed exceeded our expectations was the food, both the very tasty dinner and a great breakfast.

There was no human being in sight on the Sunday afternoon when we arrived, but one cat trying to get into the facilities. There is a number-code to get into the building. Nothing much going on in this area of town. It served the purpose of just one night sleep.
