We come for the Rio carnival for 15 nights. We love it. Hotel is very friendly and very beautiful. Everything was very clean. Housekeeping excelente room cleaned every single night. Everything work on our room no complaints. Food in the restaurant was excelente. Breakfast very good. My respects for Julio, Cintia and Danielle from the restaurant they made our stay the best they did everything possible to make us feel like at home. Victor and Erick from from the front desk very friendly and they help us in everything. Thank very much to everyone was a great stay at the hotel.

The breakfast, the friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff. There is a coffee machine that can also be used to heat water for making tea. There is an overall sense of comfort and the room is good (been great in the past). They can help you if you need to hire a cab (taxi). They are accommodating if you need extra days and they have availability.

The building is getting old but they are doing refurbishments so sometimes we need to be patient to get things sorted, like when the WiFi was down or when the lift was out of order, or there was no hot water for showering (intermittent - maybe other guests had used up all the hot water). The pillows are getting old and hard and this could easily be remedied. But they are still our preferred hotel in Icaraí.

After trying several hotels in Rio de Janeiro, we can confidently say that Hotel Matiz has become our favorite. What truly made our experience special was the people who work there. From the restaurant staff to housekeeping and reception, everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of to ensure an exceptional stay. We loved using the free bicycles to explore the city, the well-equipped gym, and of course, the delicious and varied breakfast. The location is simply perfect, making it easy to visit the main attractions. We highly recommend Hotel Matiz and look forward to returning soon. Thank you for making our stay in Rio unforgettable!

everything! excellent assistance! serve a great breakfast buffet! and it has a bar restaurant with excellent service, all day! as a frequent traveler have to say that it’s a 5 star plus!! because of the reason I travel for I had to spend more time than just sleeping, and have to say that the attitude and attention of everyone was incredible! I recomend this hotel for anyone visiting Niteroi ! I spend 20 days and have no complaint! excellent!!!!!

No door to close the closet! As a result, our things and clothes are deprived of privacy and exposed to dust, especially when cleaning the rooms.

The breakfast was delicious. The restaurant inside the hotel is great. The bed is firm but comfortable. The AC worked really well.

I only stayed one quick overnight, but it was perfect and convenient.

- Rooms and bathrooms are quite small for more than one person and rather old

Great place to stay and in my opinion it made Niteroi seem like a better option than Rio to stay. Rio was super accessible but we were in a safe , secure, lovely hotel
