Carmen and Cecilia were very nice and helpful in arranging a lower level room for my parents, helping us check in and providing us guidance for the island. Also, the room is very clean, AC & our own kitchen was great (have a microwave), and the pool was beautiful as well. The location is also very good, like 11 minutes walk to the ferry pier, 3 minutes to a local big supermarket, and you will walk past different local businesses (not very touristy ones) At the beginning there was water droplets from the AC at our room and Carmen helped us to change to another room very quickly.

Probably stronger water pressure would be better but I totally understand because we were at an island. The water was warm enough.

I loved the pool!!!! It was small but all you need to cool off. The hanging hammocks and outdoor tables were also lovely! The room was comfortable and had a mini kitchen. The downstairs kitchen was also excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful too.

Unfortunately, there was some unavoidable construction going on in the building. The owner, Cindy was apologetic but it was something she needed to do. We totally understood and it was just a short term thing. We still managed do have some nice afternoon visits at the Guest House. The triple room we had was right on a busy corner with some traffic noises. However, after one day, we got used to it and it was not a problem. We had a view of the school down below.

Fantastic guesthouse with the best staff (Cecilia & Jorge) & the owner Cindy. The courtyard & lobby reminded me of a Parisian sidewalk bistro. Was grateful for the refreshing pool for a dip on those hot days. I relaxed & dozed off in the hammock one day. Excellent neighborhood close to town. (7 min walk) Will arrange bicycles, scooter, car rentals & even laundry service. Loved the well stocked kitchen & fridge space. Try Juniors Pizza just down the street.

The host was very responsive and the room was pretty and simple. It was also very affordable and felt like an authentic experience since we were in the town and away from the super touristy area. The other people who stayed there were friendly. We were there during Christmas week so it was fun to walk around and see the various decorations. I think the place was much safer than I initially felt (probably due to my own privilege back home).

This is sort of on us for not checking more thoroughly. There is definitely a fair amount of noise here as you are right next to the street. We also had to hang a blanket over the window to block out some of the light/noise. It was several blocks walk to the main pier. I also was not certain that we were in a safe area since I'd never been there before. There was razor wire around some of the nearby buildings so I worried about the potential crime rate. There were also military personnel driving around on a regular basis so I felt a bit on alert much of the time.

The room was nice and big, with a good kitchen and all very clean. There was an amaca that was nice to lay down to rest. Our room had a patio that was great to eat some breakfast in the morging. The location is good, being 15 min form the city center/arrival of the ferry and near the supermarket AKi if you what to do some groceries, a pharmacy and restaurants. Celeste was really nice, with a warm and energetic welcoming. She explained everything and was always willing to help. The pool is a nice touch if you want to spend some minutes in the water before going out or relax from the trips :)

There was a bit of noise from the street in the morning and a bit of light entering the room. Overall a great experience.

I have stayed at the Caribo before (and will again!) and it is quiet, safe, a comfortable distance from the square, beach, restaurants and a grocery store. The 3rd floor apartment with private patio is lovely! And Celeste is an amazing concierge: helpful, energetic and truly cares about and connects with her guests. She is a GEM!

I stayed for a month and at first the cleaning was great but not so much during the last 10 days or so. And then I stopped tipping so often and it got worse.

The room was clean and very comfortable, the AC was a life saver, we had our room cleaned every day which was great, the pool is bigger that what it looks on the photos, very clean and nice, the facilities were spot on and the host made us feel like home, the location is great too, near banks, supermarkets and local food restaurants, we will definitely come back 😊

Air conditioning was great. nice to have a fan. Clean as you came into the room were very good and left. Our possessions untouched, and just as we had left them but the room was clean beautifully.  the daily coffee downstairs was a wonderful idea and it was always available.  Also, our host, Celeste was wonderfully attentive, and always interested in checking and inquiring to make sure everything was going as it should. In addition, the overall property was very well-maintained, and it was good to see constant upkeep. Thoroughly enjoyed being able to get into the pool each afternoon and soak away for an hour or so. 

The refrigerator was a little small and difficult to store the fruit and milk that we had on a daily basis.  There was very limited counter space in the bathroom around the basin, making it difficult to place toiletries and other normal bathroom objects.  I might suggest that on the stairs going up from the pool to the upper level there be some kind of rubber mats or gripping devices on the stairs because they could get very slippery with wet feet and bodies going upstairs. 

Central, 2 blocks away from supermarket, pharmacies, restaurants, etc… away from loud tourist strip. Immaculate, safe, comfortable, quiet AC. Best of all: GREAT service keeps me coming back, this was my fourth stay. The staff is ABSOLUTELY wonderful. Water refills, complimentary fresh coffee every morning, use of well appointed kitchen with large fridge- in addition to mini-fridge in the room.

I honestly can’t come up with a single inconvenience.

The pool is fabulous to refresh after being in the heat! Super clean and a lovely temp. Nice terrace area near the pool also to sit and eat/ work. Small kitchen with everything you need to cook meals. Coffee avail free each morning also. Extremely clean and very nice staff! Huge supermarket 5 mins away.

Little further out of the main tourist strip, only 10-15mins walk though and you can see this on the map so no surprises there. Noisy road so tricky if light sleeper (like me!) I stayed in the only room with ‘shared bathroom’. It’s actually just your own but it’s downstairs so in the night you do need to go outside to the loo. It’s safe as all enclosed but just can be tricky down stairs half asleep!
