Beautiful colonial style property with wonderful helpful staff. After accidentally booking their third floor suite with spiral staircase, I was kindly moved to a bottom floor room because I have replaced hips knees and back problems. They didn't have to do this but I highly appreciate them accommodating my physical needs. The fresh cooked to order breakfast was wonderful with cereal eggs toast juice coffee and more. Everyone shares a large dining room table and it's a nice place to meet your fellow travelers. The pool is really nice and clean and the whole area feels very private. There's also a large shaded patio and plenty of places to catch the sun. The location is only one block from a large city park with wonderful food carts even late at night on Saturday. It's also a block to the water. If you want to go snorkeling you can easily go to one of the beach clubs right on the water just a block from the hotel. There's a vegetarian restaurant on the same block and also a lunch buffet along with several other wonderful restaurants within a block or two. It's also easy to catch a taxi right out front. If you want you can walk to all the clubs for nightlife with no problem or catch a $5-$8 cab ride. . I think this is a very good choice for people who are on a budget and don't mind not being right on the ocean. The price is right and the quality is very high in my opinion.

Good location, nice breakfast, nice rooms

The room smelled of very harsh cleaning chemicals for the duration of our two night stay. I believe it was coming from the toilet where they had filled the tank with porta potty blue liquid. Despite our opening the windows, we could not get rid of the stench. No matter how many times we flushed, we could not get rid of the stench. In addition, there are two Villa Segovias on Google Maps and neither address matched the address listed here so it was difficult to find this place. The check in process was a little rocky and confusing. They also charge a small tax even after you have fully paid here.

Villas Segovia is a beautiful property that feels very private and quiet, so different from the resorts with their crowds of tourists. The staff was super attentive to every need and made us feel welcome and cared for. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. Although we had a little trouble communicating because not all the staff spoke English, they were patient and tried very hard to give us exceptional service. There was a security guard outside, which made the property feel very safe. Short walk to the sea wall, restaurants, groceries. We loved our stay and can't recommend it enough.

The windows didn't block much of the sound from outside, but at least there wasn't much noise around the property.

Super staff, really friendly and helpful. Felt secure, staff monitoring the front all the time. Spacious room, quiet courtyard setting despite being on the corner of two busy streets, hot shower, huge comfortable bed, good air-con. A substantial breakfast made to order with fresh fruit and different menu choices every day (stayed four nights), served at a large dining table with the other guests which allowed us to socialise and make friends with another couple. Very pleasant and private garden, well-maintained, clean pool, block out curtains, drinking water and coffee pods. Easy walk to town centre.

Streaming service wasn’t available, staff couldn’t access it. Bathroom wasn’t clean on arrival but very quickly resolved. Door knob on our room door wasn’t secure, needs maintenance. Table lamps -one couldn’t be plugged in, the other had a short. Walk-in closet with coat hangars but no rod to hang clothes! Minor points but they just need fixing, not ignoring.

Authentic Mexican charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The building was beautiful with open lobby, lush plants, swimming pool and Mexican decor. It is 3 short blocks to the Mega Soriano store and the main street in front of the ocean. We found wonderful restaurants within walking distance (less than 5 blocks) away. It was nice to be in a unique small hotel with welcoming staff.

Being an older quaint hotel, it wasn't modern. Don't expect modern. That is what we liked about it.

Great location, room was very clean and well equipped. Garden is beautiful. First breakfast we had here was very delicious. We came before check in time but room was already ready so we could enjoy more time there. We had scooter so they let us bring it to the garden and even helped to do it.

we stayed there 2 nights and second morning the person who had to cook breakfast didn't show up. Nobody communicated with us about it, didn't say if we need to wait or not, didn't even apologised for this mistake. So we left without breakfast which is not nice when you pay for that.

Great location. Across from the cemetery and just 2 blocks from Mega grocery store. Easy walk to the square. This is a house that was renovated to a hotel. Very pretty with original woodwork, lighting and marble floors. Lovely gardens and pool area. Very clean, large rooms. Terrific staff. Great breakfast.

Not much! My room was at the front and there was some traffic noise.

Quiet colonial with everything you need. Just off the beaten track so you don't feel caught up in all the cruise ship crowd. Breakfast was made to order and fabulous. All the staff were very friendly. We will be back

Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast cooked to order, close to large supermarket, short walk to town.

Hard bed, thin sheets, lock on door could easily be jimmied opened, curtain s didn’t close fully and with the garden lit at night it wasn’t fully dark in the room at night, inconsistent water pressure in shower.

We loved the quaint atmosphere of the traditional Mexican Villa. It was close to restaurants and both large grocery stores. Breakfast was very nice. It is a lovely place. The staff was wonderful.

The shower wasn't good. Needs a new shower head. The water pressure wasn't great. The ceiling fan did not have a switch to turn it on. ?
