An old-fashioned hotel with design elements reminiscent of the 80s and 90s, but that doesn't detract from the reasonably high quality of the food, the exceptional attention and helpfulness of the staff, or the stunning beach and sea. In fact, the beach and sea here are far superior to many other places you’ll find in Cancun—absolutely incredible. The in-room amenities, such as shampoo and shower gels, could use some improvement, but this was not an issue for us at all. The reasonably sized pool, surrounded by a bar and snack area, and the amazing beach with its aquarium-like sea where you can walk right into the water, make it a fantastic value for the price we paid. This all-inclusive resort doesn’t feel restrictive, which is a major plus. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious food, a reasonable price, and a wonderful seaside experience.

We got a good deal on this fairly last minute. For the price we paid it was excellent. The room was spacious and my husband was a huge fan of the hammock in it. It had 2 Queen beds though - we are a couple so would have preferred 1 larger bed. The common spaces are great and well equipped. Pool area is big with lots of places to sit. Can get a bit noisy in the day with entertainment on. The beach club is the highlight, well located and comfortable, I didn’t even mind the fact it’s not a real ‘beach’. Bar is convenient there and staff were great. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do much water based activity etc as the weather was too windy most days. We booked this hotel with the intention of doing breakfast/lunch and some cocktails in it during the day and going out elsewhere for dinner. This worked well we felt, the breakfast and lunch buffets were good but not too much variety. Still well worth the price. It’s about a 20-30 min walk to the centre depending which bit you’re going to. Easy walk!

Rooms - would prefer if some of the standard rooms had one big King bed instead of two smaller Queens. Also the bathroom needed a bit of TLC, finishing wasn’t great in areas. And we only had a single chair on our balcony, so we had to take a chair out of the room to sit outside. It looked like other balconies had multiple chairs and a table. Amenities - Pool area can be a bit noisy in the day, due to entertainment. Depends what you want from it.

I thought the breakfast buffet was very good. I particularly enjoyed the fruit variety, all of which was fresh and tasted very good. The other items varied each day but it was nice to have eggs or omelettes made fresh. Another specialty was the latte's which, although slightly different each time, were mostly good. The service at the tables was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. I also enjoyed the large pool and the snack bar beside it. All the items I tried were very tasty and I could always find a table that was shaded.

I was pretty happy with everything. This is the second time I have stayed here, the first for only 3 days which was too short and why I choose to stay six days this trip. I like to snorkel and of the access to the ocean and the variety of marine life around the lava outcropping was better than the other two places I stayed while in Cozumel. Had I known that, I would have spent my entire time at Wyndham. Another point worth mentioning is the easy access to the water. I found the other locations I stayed at were a bit treacherous to enter the water, particularly if the waves were a bit high.

The location was excellent for beach access. You just have to cross the main road, which is usually not busy, enter the building they use for some meals, and the beach is right out front. The ocean water is much clearer here than on the Mayan coast and snorkeling is exceptional with slots of fish swimming around the coral. Unfortunately the coral shows significant destruction without much colour. The buffet food is adequate and there is a good variety. Fruit was really fresh and there were lots of ingredients for salad. The soup was always good and there was a cook to prepare omelets and main course items. Service was great overall and the place wasn’t busy so no need to wait for anything. The staff were mostly friendly, helpful and easy to access. My room was large, had a private balcony and was there was no problem with noise. The pool is huge and wasn’t busy when I was there.

The food was okay, but nothing special as far as the main courses were concerned.

The idea of getting up in the morning and walking across the street or using the underground tunnel to access the buffet was what initially attracted us to this property. Morning coffee while looking out at the Caribbean Sea and watching the boats loading for morning dives was a bonus.

Lught in bathroom was out. Sink was blocked. A/c was out for a few hours.

This is a great diver's resort. The all inclusive food was excellent. Right on the beach...and excellent facilities for washing and drying your dive gear. Walking distance to the town center and other amenities. Free parking. Clean and well maintained swimming pool. Great inexpensive laundry services!

Centrally located to the shops and to the ocean

The internet connection the whole time was hit or miss. Couldn’t get my boarding pass and Verify documents because internet was done the last couple of days. Shower was made for people under 5’ and I am almost 6’ so it was hard to shower.

I spent here only two nights off season and with so few people it was really great stay. Small coral reef on site, very good food, local tour agency in the lobby (I can recommend four-hour snorkeling trip with pick up from hotel's pier).

I felt safe, staff was amazing. the two girls that worked the pool and food area by the pool were exceptional.

the dinner food was just ok. we ended up in town eating most nights
