Loved everything about it. Our room was right in front of the ocean and we enjoyed the sunset everyday except when there was a cruise ship blocking it.The lady that cleaned our room did a stupendous job every time . I loved the figurines with the towels that she took the time to make. The staff was very welcoming and nice but Daniela was the best, every day with a smile and willingness to help each time we needed something.

The remodeling part as per the image of the hotel at the entrance wasn’t an issue for us. But the drilling and hammering in the mornings was not the best when we wanted to sleep in.

Big comfortble room, good shower, very nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Staff were really nice and helpful. 24/7 reception. Water available all the time. All very clean. Great location and taxis right infront of thw hotel if needed.

The room was dark at night (at day there is a lot of light from the window), it was loud at night until around 23 from the bars on the street and loud during the day because of construction work on the building next door.

Hi this is a lovely hotel! The staff was very accommodating the the comfort of the bed was the BEST I've experienced on the island and I've stayed at different hotels each time. This bed was the BEST. The internet was iffy on the 4th floor and was my only concern. The hotel was being renovated, which we did not know when I booked, but that was fine. The internet was my only concern since I needed to work at times. All in all, a great stay.

She charged me too much money for the night by accident, she canceled it and upgraded our room to a ocean view room for free, because of her mistake 👍🏻

For the money, the best choice in Cozumel. Located in the center of town overlooking the malecon and the Caribbean. Spring for the 'mar vista' balcony room. The free breakfast was meager, a crescent roll with jam and coffee, but it's delivered on order to your room!

I could have used an elevator, but they did honor my request for a lower floor.

Breakfast everyday which was coffee and either croissants or biscuit, pools, near all the food and bars, near downtown, A/C was killer ! Free entry to Playa Palancar. Staff was great. Always. Upper pool had chairs and lounge chairs and a pergola.

No beach entry. Not bad but would be nice. This doesn’t have anything negative against the staff.

This hotel is a traditional hotel and rustic. The room I stayed was large and located at the front of the hotel so I had a sea view. The hotel in located on the sea front btween the ferry terminal and cruise terminal. There are plenty of restaurant shops near the hotel. The hotel offered coffee in your room, I drink fruit tea so hot water was provided which I enjoyed on my balcony. The staff are really friendly and always acknowleged me when I left or returned to the hotel. The cleaners worked really hard to keep the rooms clean and well presented. The staff really made my holiday enjoyable.

The hotel is rather worn in places and could with being updated. I found the shutters difficult to close to help reduced road noise. The road outside the hotel is the main road so there is a lot of road noise. The terrace is very small and only had sunshine in the morning.

I have been coming here for years and will continue to come! The hotel is peaceful and very clean...the staff is welcoming and helpful. The views are breathtaking...watching cruise ships dock from my bed..made every morning.. Spent hours sitting on a the balcony..people and bird watching! I could talk about this place for hours! Definitely book it..if you are more into culture and local businesses and restaurants..everything in walking distance...the locals are some of the nicest people..you'd ever meet..

The worst part for me was having to say goodbye!

Great location near downtown. Great view of the water watching cruise ships come and go it was enjoyable sitting on the patio people watching. Always best when they are going. Some people complained about the noise being right above the street I did not find this a problem and I am a light sleeper. The only noise problem was a bar up the street had a loud band on Friday and saturday night. I found that annoying fortunately they would knock off around 11PM which is the time I usually went to bed. bed was comfortable and plenty of towels.

It would take quite a while before the water would get hot in the shower. But once hot it would stay hot even for prolonged shower.

We booked Hotel Vista de Mar for the Christmas period and we couldn't have been happier! The view from the room is wonderful. We had a first-floor room and a higher room would have been better, but no problem. The staff were so kind and acommodating. They couldn't do enough to help us and were so polite. Breakfast and coffee each morning was very sweet. The bed was so so comfy and the shower was hot. The WIFI was perfect. The location is also just a short walk from the ferry terminal which is super handy.

The hotel is a little dated but very charming! Perhaps a more eco-friendly/sustainable approach to things like plastics would have been preferable, i.e., lots of single-use plastic with breakfast. Even though we really liked that there was complimentary water available so we could re-fill our bottles.
