The location to Denison University cannot be beat. The Granville Inn is the only game in town with the Buxton Inn being closed at the moment. I have stayed here multiple times over the last 40 years. The building is 101 years old and it is grand.

The air condiitioning was spotty at best. The last night the room was stagnant and the fan would not kick on. In the morning, the front desk explained that a storm had knocked out some breakers which affected the air conditioning. I was surprised that the TVs are not smart TVs but perhaps that is more reason to unplug and enjoy the surroundings.

Breakfast = Their fruit was great and how it was presented was awesome. Very fresh. Loved the coffee/tea selection in hallways - nice touch and they seemed always stocked. Dinner was very good. Just an idea... with the brussel sprouts, I am thinking walnut with it or maybe even a little blue cheese might take it to the next level?? Town was neat even though I was there to see Alligator Mound and the Earth Works. Alligator Mound was only a mile away.

Breakfast - One remark... as I don't do bread or sugar, there were many options that didn't fit me. They had boiled egg and would have loved scrambled? Or maybe some bacon? Another little suggestion. In the room on the left where you check-in. There was some clutter in one corner. I would cover it or clean it up. Every other part of the place was cleaned and well-kept. That was interesting and not indicative yet it is the first thing you see when inside.

The rooms are modern and decorated nicely, with thoughtful touches (plugs on the nightstand, luggage stand, etc.). Breakfast was the best-included breakfast I experienced in the U.S. Breakfast hours were accommodating; you ordered from a decent-sized menu, and it was all freshly made. Check-in was easy, and all staff members were very pleasant.

The room sizes are on the small side. Our room was down a long hallway that included a small set of stairs, which is inconvenient when you have rolling luggage. The parking lot was small, and we had a Ford F150 pickup that required several Y-turns to pull in or out of a parking space.

The room was nice. I had an issue with double booking and was assisted by p.m. desk clerk and again in the a.m...not knowing the clerk behind the desk was leaving info for the a.m. team who worked to help fix the dbl booking That was nice.

Bartender service sat night could have been a bit more excited to be there. Energy level was low and was informed if it stayed this slow they were closing early. Attempted to order food a short while later as people next to me had recently received their burgers and was told kitchen was closing or closed as well.

Clean, great location, daily house keeping, nice rooms.

Free breakfast provided has been downgraded from full breakfast to continental. Continental breakfasts falls short. Service in breakfast falls short. Have to keep asking for replacement of food.

Beautiful building and landscaping! Excellent staff. Clean room. Had fun eating dinner outside on patio. Good options for breakfast.

Would never recommend staying in a “ queen room”- it is quite small and the bathroom was teeny tiny with NO space to put out our toiletries. We ended up putting things on the floor. The bathrooms desperately need shelves, more than one hook, and a non pedestal sink. In general the food was good but don’t bother adding shrimp to a meal. For $12 I received 3 medium size shrimp! $3-4 “per bite”

Beautiful old inn in the center of Granville. Lovely restaurant.

The bed wasn’t comfortable and there was a small piece of glass in the carpet by the bed that ended up cutting my toe. They came immediately and cleaned but would have been great to not have that happen.

The location was great. Walking distance to shops and stores. Cute town! The charm of this historic Inn and how well kept it is was truly amazing! Loved the architecture and the rooms were updated. Such a nice stay.

The Granville Inn is centrally located in the beautiful charming town of Granville! Our room was sparkling clean; beautiful bathroom with all the amenities! Our dinner was delicious at a candlelit table by a cozy fireplace. I will definitely come back!

Beautiful hotel filled with history set in the quaint and sweet college town of Granville. Interior is beautifully preserved. The staff were friendly.

More luggage carts could have been helpful with the college move ins.
