Beautiful property, idyllic and quiet location, great sized family suites with private terraces including sun loungers looking out onto a shared lawn. Added touches of dog bowls with fresh water, activity packs and slippers for children were very nice. A few lawn games for children also which is great whilst eating at the restaurant. The spa is very nice and my son enjoyed a swim in the pool. Tennis court, table tennis.. a lot of activities which is always a bonus with children. Although it is a perfect spot for adults / couples, I would say these are their main customers. The pictures of the property don’t do it justice, it’s much nicer in real life. Room service meals are available on your private terrace which is also a nice touch after a long day travelling with children who may not want to sit down nicely for a proper meal in the restaurant. All staff members knew which room you were staying in and they were very friendly. The house champagne was delightful and you can purchase this at reception too, champagne also at the breakfast buffet.. what’s not to love :)

A couple of pieces of outdoor furniture could do with renewing on the rear of the property as they weren’t as nice as the front terrace and a broken children’s slide, not a problem but it needs removing so children don’t want to use it when it’s unsafe. Other than that, it was great!

I am not sure what 'star' this hotel is - it felt like 5. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment of arrival. Super clean, lovely aircon, amazingly comfortable beds, great bathroom.... It does feel a little like a conference hotel - with huge dining rooms (for example). Fortunately there were no weddings or large groups while we were there, that might be something worth checking if you're looking to stay. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed - so it was a 30 minute drive into Laon which was a bit grim. Again, worth a double-check to see if the restaurant is open.

Loved the rooms , restaurant wasn’t as good as it thought it was! Great staff. The service was brilliant. The amuse bouche were tasty.

The smell of dog poo in the courtyard- where you have welcome drinks!? , room had no bar menu or room service info in the room, staff were great and got that sorted eventually. High prices for not especially good food but served like a Michelin star - bland, the duck was tough, and the accompaniments too odd for us. Wine expensive - felt sorry for the reception staff that looked liked they’d been crammed into a toy shop.

This is a grand house - the drive up is wonderful - my room was generous in size - charming country house vibe - the lounge was decked out for Christmas and I really had the Bing Crosby Xmas feeling as a sipped my perfectly made vodka martini - I had a chance to use the pool which was clean and warm - dinner was good - tasty and innovative -

I would categorised these as didn’t like - improvements: more bathroom towels and face towels - offer a wine by the glass menu so that guests can try more that one wine recommend by the house - the wine I bought was expensive compared to the normal retail price - I expect to pay 2or 3 times but this was more is too much.

Friendly and comfortable. Great food and wonderful room. We could not be happier with the view, early light in the morning, comfy bed and great position right above the spa. A quick walk down the stairs in the morning and we were swimming in the pool in no time. The restaurant was superb - with gorgeous food served on the veranda in a summer evening by lovely, unpretentious staff. The melon, mozzarella cream and cured ham starter was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten.

Nothing.

A pretty and quite large chateau with additional converted stable rooms, with French windows opening onto a walled garden suitable for dogs. The rooms were well furnished to a high standard. The grounds were very attractive, and surrounded by a working mainly arable farm suitable for more extensive dog walking. Despite staying on a Monday evening when the full menu service was unavailable, the evening meal was of good quality, and there was an outstanding wine cellar, although not cheap.

The overall ambience of the place was good, but there was a curious garden art display of large plastic animals would have been better placed in a children's theme park.

The spa facilities are great. Lovely restaurant and bar. Really enjoyed our stay here. Very dog-friendly hotel!

Don't let this stop you from staying at this hotel, but just to give management some feedback, the mattresses and pillows were too hard. Also, the dog that belongs to the hotel attacked my little puppy at reception as we were walking past. Luckily my dog was on the lead, but I don't think it's acceptable to have such a big dog wandering around knowing that he might not like the attention of other dogs.

This is a beautiful property set in the middle of the countryside. We had a lovely room and slept so well it was almost 9 before we woke - so very quiet. We used the pool, which we had to ourselves that day, and the hot tub. As we stayed on a Monday, the usual restaurant service was not available, however we were contacted beforehand advising us of the situation and offering an alternative. We chose the room service menu, which we were able to eat in the salon overlooking the garden, and notwithstanding the restaurant not being open in their usual manner, we still received a first class service with apéritif’s, amuse bouche, drinks with our meal and coffee in the lounge. This is a truly fabulous place and well worth a visit even if only for one night.

The dinner was pricey, but exceptional. A real treat. I expect to pay for quality and this was excellent!

The dining experience was superb in the garden, but there were some children's plastic games in the garden which just looked a little tatty, it would have been no trouble just to put them away for the evening but they were left out which was a shame. The garden and setting were wonderful.

Very quiet location, very nice domain. We had a room with private terrace, which was unexpected and very pleasant, given the beautiful weather and garden. Price/quality ratio is very good.

The property is in urgent need of significant investment and fundamental renovations. In clear daylight the facilities look worn and tired. The spa / swimming pool is mouldy and outdated technically.
