Wyndham Puerto Santa Ana is a very nice hotel in a good safe area. The room was large and modern with most expected amenities.  Minor glitches: instead of an electric kettle for proper tea boiling, it has a tiny single cup drip coffee maker. Not ideal, but we made do.   The view of the river was obstructed by a large construction site. They worked all night on weekdays, but not weekends. The noise and lights were minorly disruptive, but again we managed.  The safe, hot water, bed comfort, and other amenities were perfect. The breakfast was excellent.  I enjoyed it a lot with good variety, some local specialties, and long flexible hours (6.30 till 10.30). The rooftop pool is very nice. The water is warm, and chemical balance was good. It is walkable, safe and very pleasant along the river all the way to Malacon 2000. The front desk let us borrow aerovia cards for a cable card ride to Duran round-trip.  You need the card to buy the fare. Borrowing from the front desk saved us a couple bucks. You need a card for each seperate person. Don't get out into Duran, it's sketchy. But the aerovia ride is perfectly safe with great views across the river. I highly recommend Wyndham Puerto Santa Ana. (If booking, read carefully, as there exist more than 1 Wyndham hotel property in the city.)

The hotel is located in a very safe area of the city with gorgeous views of the river. The room was very comfortable and the cleaning crew exceptional. Please see note attached, the note and the beautiful arrangement made with towels made me smile for days. Thank you!

I can’t think of anything. Oh yes, the music played by the pool in the morning was not necessary, I would have preferred peace and quiet.

Excelent location - at the margins of the beautiful river, walking distance to touristic site in Puerto Santa Ana, walking distance to cable cars, a little longer but still walkable to malecon of the center, many options of great restaurants and bars nearby, very close to airport. Room was big. Bed was king size and very comfortable. Shower water was very, very warm. Breakfast buffet was wonderful, during lunch time, chef was a very, very friendly lady who gave me the best recommendations (best shrimp soup I had ever had). Pool area at the roof top was superb, WONDERFUL 360o degree view of the city and of the river!

I have never experienced such fantastic help Airport transfers were easy I urgently needed a dentist. Staff met me at airport to get my suitcase and took it back to hotel. They also organised a driver to take me to the dentist and he waited for me and dropped me back to hotel ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SERVICE! Breakfast was delicious with ecuadorian selections as well

The location is wonderful and very safe. Lots of security in the entire neighborhood. It’s located next to a bunch of restaurants. The free breakfast buffet was great. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating.

The pool area was under maintenance so they initially told us we couldn’t use the pool but then said we could. Hopefully once it’s completed it’ll be better.

The facilities were really nice, location was great and food options as well. breakfas was delicious and the front desk staff very accommodating and helpful

702 rooms is not sound proof and the bar ( port is tooo loud and you can heard the music. Riverside rooms need to be soundproofed it affects the experience

This is a heavily patrolled area and felt very safe. There was a malecon on the river, visible from our room and lined with open air restaurants eager for our patronage. The trees by the river had yellow crowned night herons and the juvenile night herons were on the river banks waiting for their parents to come and feed them. We stayed overnight twice, at the beginning and ending of trips to Cuenca and the Galapagos. The airport shuttle was available for our very early flight back to the USA.

There was a lot of trash in the river, both natural vegetation and plastic discards. The music was loud at the restaurants but they turned it down a bit for us. The river walk was fairly short, not long enough for much of a walk. It did not feel safe to go beyond the lighted areas, but was fine if you stayed within bounds.

Breakfast was fantastic. Staff are professional and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and safe. Great location to walk to restaurants. Everything is clean and comfortable.

If you stay during a time when the hotel is hosting a party, ask for a room that is above the 1st floor. Our only complaint was the noise from the party that the hotel was hosting on the floor below us did not allow us to sleep.

Staff support. All of them taking care of our needs. Bell Boys' counter Francisco, Javier and others are are very helpful and attentive. At the reception must be mentioned Alejandra Muñoz, a very special person caring for all of us.

Lack of enough shelves and similar space to accommodate personal goods. Too many pillows.
