The complex itself is beautiful and clean. Clearly very well kept. The rooms were clean, spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly and happy to assist with anything you wanted. Due to an issue with our originally booked room we had to move rooms mid stay but we spent the first half of the holiday in a beautiful upgraded room and the staff were very helpful with helping us move when the time came and went the extra mile to make sure we weren't too inconvenienced. The pool and bar area was lovely and a great place to chill out after a busy day out and about. It was my birthday while we had our stay at Nissea Kamares and my boyfriend asked them to arrange some bits in the room which they were more than happy to do and it was done very generously and beautifully, really made me feel special. Would absolutely stay here again. Would most likely spend a bit more on one of the bigger less basic rooms if we visited again (which we probably will)

As is the way in a lot of places there was a lot of sunbeds just taken up by towels and no people which could be frustrating when you were at the pool a number of hours and couldn't get sunny sunbeds when you wanted to use them. Staff did help with this when we wanted to move but still frustrating. The street room we were in was a little noisy due to being above the hotel laundry space but if that doesn't bother you then the room was ideal for a holiday space. This wasn't a deal-breaker for us as we are just happy to have a clean nice space to sleep as we are usually busy during the day.

A gem of a hotel. The apartments are set out like a little village amongst beautiful gardens. We stayed in the superior apartment and it was fabulous. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. It had a small kitchenette with everything we might need. The sun terrace was an added bonus with a sun lounger and table and chairs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had a great selection of both hot and cold choices. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the main strip of bars, restaurants and shops, but far enough away to be peaceful. We loved the Nissia Kamares and would love to come back. We would definitely recommend to others.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was great, the place was clean and the staff - best staff ever. So smiley & friendly. Food was great. Fab pool. Nothing a problem.

The fridge didn’t work. The air con - you need to have windows & doors and the mosquitoes screen closed to make it work. I wasn’t told this until day 3. There are no ‘notes’ or instructions in room, which would have been useful. The pool area is great but I do think there doesn’t have yo be music speakers all round the pool creating a quiet area for reading/sleeping.

The location was excellent. Very beautiful property excellently maintained, really nice pool and bar area. We ate lunch and breakfast here and it was excellent quality and reasonably priced. The room itself was beautifully decorated. Lovely balcony area and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. the staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed it here and wouldn’t hesitate to return and can definitely recommend. Thank you Nissia Kamares x

Nothing negative to report

Everything was wonderful! Because it was May and not all the rooms were occupied, they offered us a studio inside the complex instead of the one with street view. The studio was beyond expectations: equipped with everything that was needed, new furniture, modern bathroom, the view from the balcony to the beautiful courtyard full of flowers; everything in Greek style. Cleaning is done daily, perfectly. Only words of praise for the employees; they made a short presentation of the island and helped us with recommendations for places to visit and for car rental agencies. Location close to the beach and a lot of shops and tavernas. We would come back anytime with pleasure.

stayed in a room with my two daughters 14 and 16 three single beds and enough room for us all. Air-con was worth its weight in gold and the whole experience of the hotel was first class. Amazing staff throughout form the daily cleaners to the bar staff. Food was great value, and breakfast was better than most we've experienced in Greece

there's nothing we questioned or found disappointing

Nissia Kamares apartments are a real oasis. The owners are doing an incredibly good job at presenting accommodation at its best, in an amazing surrounding. Attention to detail makes the entire perimeter a place where to unwind, relax and where to feel special. Everybody working there was always so keen to help and ensure all was catered for. Nature elements were some of the aspects we also very much appreciated: the choice of trees and plants appeal to wildlife.

Great pool and lovely poolside bar. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Close to Kardemena centre and beaches. Renovation of property has been done really tastefully - you’ll struggle finding something this pretty in Kardemena. It felt welcoming and safe. Rooms are a good size and well equipped. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! Loved them

Shower drainage needs service and air conditioning was difficult to work. Even though the hotel is stunning there are many run down buildings surrounding. It’s a shame and I hope they catch up with the absolute beauty of this place as it’s really tastefully done!

Warm and welcoming staff, super clean and recently renovated in an elegant and considered manner. Cool colours and whitewashed walls provide the perfect backdrop for the colourful and beautifully maintained planting. Great facilities in the room for preparing a drink or light meal, and also really good to have the use of a large clean pool! Generous breakfast and poolside snacks. I always try to stay here whenever I pass through Kos.

My only real negative is that I got the '3rd bed' (the sofa), which some may find not as comfortable as a proper mattress. Okay for 2 nights, but wouldn't consider this for a longer stay!

I have stayed here several times now over the years both by myself and with my partner. It is one of my favourite places to stay in Kardamena and I have stayed at many different ones over the years (nearly 30!). The rooms have been refurbished beautifully and stay quite cool even now when it's really hot. Pool area is perfect for chilling out with a book or a drink. All the staff are amazing. I will be back.
