The room was very clean; the bed was very comfortable. I very much liked having the kitchenette in the room. The system worked out for the cupboard credit was good. The location was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and easy to deal with.

My only complaint was that, at least in the room I stayed in, one of the walls (I think it was the wall along the entrance) was very thin and I could easily and clearly hear people talking in the next room.

The location was super convenient, next to 5th, radio city, subway just around the corner. Staff very friendly, always greeting, smiling, willing to help. Very spacious 1 bedroom

Wish there was a kettle and to be able to cook something easy like pasta, as the kitchenette was already there as well as a big fridge. It would be very helpful for families with young children.

We had a great stay at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta. The room was large, perfect for a family of 4 and newly refurbished. The location was very central and close to the subway to travel all over NYC. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Our only complaint was that it was very noisy. The hotel is located on the street parallel to a fire and police station. So on top of the usual car and pedestrian noise expected in downtown NYC there were constant emergency service vehicle noises all night which made it difficult to sleep. The staff were very understanding when I discussed our inability to sleep with them and they moved us from the 10th to 17th floor to try and minimise the noise and it did help somewhat and we got better rest for the remaining nights but just something to consider if you are a light or sensitive sleeper!

The Doorman, Bellman and all the staff were so kind and accommodating!! For that alone, I would return again and recommend to friends and colleagues!

We loved the location—it was perfect. So close to Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue, right in the heart of things, but still just far enough from the busiest areas that it was easy to grab a cab or Uber when needed. Tons of great restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, and the whole area felt very safe and clean. The room was fantastic—we had a beautiful suite and really enjoyed the space. The hotel itself was gorgeous, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back.

Room was spotlessly clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable - we slept really well despite the noise of the city. Staff were courteous and friendly. The location was good with many local restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.

The ‘kitchenette’ was tiny, with only a fridge, microwave and wheezy coffee machine. We weren’t planning on cooking, but a toaster and hob ring would have been useful. Also the hot water in bathroom was not very hot and took a long time to just get tepid.

The room was very large by Manhattan standards. We had a great amount of closet space and movement space in the room. The bathroom was nice and we had a small kitchenette which we did not really need but I could imagine it being useful to have. Well placed lighting. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was nice. Everything felt clean and fresh. The staff was so knowledgeable, helpful, clear, and friendly. We were even given really nice umbrellas to use for the day when it rained. This property is extremely convenient for walking to Midtown sites and is one block from Subway to go uptown or downtown and about 7 blocks to Grand Central Station to get anywhere.

The only thing I would have done differently was bring my own shampoo and conditioner. They are renovating the dining space so there was no on site access to meals or drinks (other than the snacks and beverages stocked in the room). However, immediately around the corner of the front door was a bodega that was open 24 hours where you could get a little bit of everything including juices made to order or burgers, bagels, etc.
