Breakfast was fantastic. Since I'm both gluten- und lactose-intolerant I need alternatives. I've never had a breakfast in a hotel before that covered my needs so well (and that without having to discuss with employees that have no idea about intolerances/allergies). It is so important that the food is well and clearly declared (preferably so that the signs can be read without reading glasses).

I don't see much of a point to check in online ahead. I tried because of your offer, but I didn't succeed because the system depends on receiving your emails with the code number immediately. Since I didn't receive the emails immediately I wasn't able to check in online. I wasted about an hour because I tried several times (because a friend of mine said that she had been told by a Smarthotel employee that it was a must - which I didn't believe, but anyhow). It would be better to get the code number by text message on the mobile phone number. Because that is faster, so more reliable.

Across from the train station, and a few steps to restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed, best ever smorgasboard breakfast with lots of gluten free options, minimalist decore, fast lifts to room.

Had to squeeze past the end of the bed to get across the room so a bit tight. Being requested to do an on line check in before arriving, having to share more details via that process and then being expected to do a physical online check in at the hotel to get a room key which required access to my off-line mobile number. The receptionist helped out when approached but could have avoided the hassle after a long day of travelling

The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is really "smart". Unfortunately, this also applies to the somewhat complicated check-in process. But once you get your keys, everything is great. The breakfast was very tasty, the rooms were spacious, and the hotel's location right next to the train station has its advantages.

Apart from the somewhat complicated and confusing check-in process, some people may be bothered by the location right on a busy intersection. If you need to open the windows, this could be a problem.

We had a Superior King -room (booked Superior Queen) from the eight floor. It was bigger than the one we booked and the view to the harbour and area around the hotel (mountains, sea, and a bit to the city also) was excellent because we had three windows to three a bit different direction. Nice to see a cruise ship to land etc when it was raining outside. Comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. Very good location next to the harbour (we came with a boat from Moskenes) and railway station (could park to a parking area in front of the hotel next to the railway station) and the city center (took a long walk when the rain stopped). Restaurangs for lunch and crocery shops to buy foodstuff for breakfast and evening snack close (did take the hotel breakfast). Overall experience very good except the fact and the room was not cleaned when we settled in.

The room was dirty when we came. Nuts and sand etc on the floor and chips on the window ledge. The lady from reception came and hoovered the room after we complained, and after that the room was ok. We did not like the chairs in the room, very uncomfortable to sit. That's why we originally chose the Queen room with a sofa. But with the pillows the chairs were somehow ok, and probably two chairs was a nicer combination for us than a small sofa.

Good breakfast. Online check-in works well. Although the hotel is located in a busy area, the rooms are quiet. The parking garage adjacent to the hotel has plenty of lots. Good beds.

Details only. Upon arrival, one has to walk around the car park in order to get to the hotel entrance but that is not on the signs. One can only use the direct access after checking in. The rooms are rather small (although comfortable). That is okay for a short stay alone, but maybe not so much for a longer stay as a couple.

Over-communication. I booked & stayed only one night but must have received almost 10 emails with general statements about events or check-in or out. Stickers everywhere in the room and around the hotel about how the Hotel is saving the freaking planet. Luckily it is not made of concrete or wash the sheets & towels in bleach or use electricity to heat the food and light the rooms…oh wait

I am not much of a breakfast person, so I only ate breakfast the first morning. It was okay. The bed was very comfortable! I really liked the option of self check-in and check-out. I really appreciated proper toilet paper, and not the thin and hard type you normally get in hotels.

The space between the wall and the bed was really narrow, so I had to turn sideways to walk to the window. Alternativately roll across the bed. I missed a hook for my jacket on the wall, it would have been easier to hang up my jacket rather than on a coat hanger.

Small room, have a bag storage area for if you arrive early or leave late on the day you check out. Also has a free laundry room with one washing machine and one dryer so you need to wait for an opening to be able to get your stuff in. Note that if you book directly with the provider breakfast is free, otherwise it's quite expensive per day so unfortunately we didn't manage to get any.

Only had glass and plastic recycling, didn't have paper recycling, would have been useful.

It is convenient because you can just walk from the ferry terminal. The room is okay.

It asked us to do the online check-in in its website. I did not continue the process when I had to give some personal data. It turned out we can still do the checkin in the hotel because there are always people in the reception. We just had a little problem to enter the hotel (after 11PM) because we did not have the code from the online checkin. We entered the hotel when some people got out.

Everything! Cleverly designed hotel room - small but space for everything. Comfortable and welcoming communal space. Even their wine was cheap for Norway😀. Great breakfast. Chance to pay small amount for lunch box to fill at breakfast was a fantastic feature when travelling. Friendly efficient staff. Good location for train, ferry and restaurants. Highly recommended.
