This Hostel is top! We were six friends who have stayed a night while waiting to take Ferry to Lofoten. The Rooms are clean, tidy and quiet, the Bathroom is big and clean, the beds are quite comfortable. The position is perfect because the Hostel is very close to the port. The quality-price ration is really good. It’s almost the only place where you pay very little to stay in Bodø. If I ever return to Lofoten one day, I will stay at this place again!!!!

Free parking outside the station from 4pm to 8am. Convenient walk into main street (I recommend visiting Dama Di pub)

Not a very social hostel because most people are transiting to or from Lofoten Islands. It’s right next to the railway station so you will hear train announcements from early to late. (Luckily it’s an end station, so you won’t hear freight trains barrelling through in the middle of the night)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bodø Hostel & Motel, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. This hidden gem in the heart of Bodø is a fantastic choice for travellers looking for comfort, affordability, and a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the communal areas. The hostel has a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals, a cozy lounge, and a spacious dining area. These spaces encourage socializing and meeting fellow travellers from around the world. I had some memorable conversations with other guests during my stay.

While my stay at Bodø Hostel & Motel was overall enjoyable, there was one minor inconvenience that I must mention. The proximity to the train station did lead to occasional disturbances from the train noise, especially during the night. Nothing some ear plugs can't fix!

The room was clean and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The location is superb if you're transferring through Bodø as the hostel is located directly above the train station and within a 5-minute walk from the ferry. The hostel provides laundry services, which was very helpful. Our room was quite small with bunk beds, but that was to be expected. There are several good restaurants, a small shopping mall, and a grocery store located within walking distance from the hostel.

Wifi was inconsistent in the room, but worked well when out in the shared areas (kitchen, dining area). Don't waste 20 NOK for coffee near the front desk..it's worse than petrol station coffee. Just go to the train station restaurant below the hostel or walk to a nearby cafe.

Great little place to rest my head! I came in from Lofoten Islands late at night, so the self check-in was very convenient and easy to navigate. This was only about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, another plus coming from a long ferry ride. The price was excellent and very affordable for Norway! Beds were very comfortable for a dorm, and I roomed with some really lovely girls and saw the Northern Lights that night! Will definitely use this as a stop over point next time on Bodø.

Hostel is very clean with plenty of amenities. Location is right next to the train station. We really appreciated the help of Dalibor, who was taking care of us during our stay. He was incredibly helpful when providing us extra blankets and a heater. Really professional and knowledgeable about the city and Lofoten with friendly personality. He made our stay so much more enjoyable!

Nothing really

We booked last minute and got a separate room for all of us together. The room was small but clean. Two nice large windows made it roomier and nice clean bathroom. It felt new and clean and safe. The kitchen was ok and a large dining room. Lots of nice people from all over the world cooking and eating sharing their experiences of Lofoten etc. The staff was welcoming and friendly all spoke English.

The only thing I can remember is that the pillows were not great. I would recommend if you have extra room in you bags to bring an extra pillow. We didn’t use the tv so we can’t say if it worked.

The location is very convenient especially when I take the train to my next destination. And it’s easy to check in even when I arrived late.

The bed is not super comfortable but okay to me. There is only one thing is annoying about the noise from the entrance. As I stay in the room 201 which is shared the wall with the main entrance. The sound was shocking me awake when someone close the door for couple times.

The location of the hostel is top notch if traveling by train. The room was clean, if basic- but it is a hostel! I will definitely stay again next time I am in Bodoe. As an older female solo traveler, I feel confident in recommending Bodoe Hostel as a safe, well located, reasonably priced accommodation. I had a great view, and I really appreciated the laundry room.

All good except for needing a room card for the elevator

I arrived late so I love the easy self check-in. Also the location is really nice to visit Bodø. It's also possible to leave early since there is an express check-out. The bathroom was clean and inside the shared room and it seems quite soundproof.

Except that I didn't find any charger near my bed and that we were hearing the spring of my bed each time I got up, I have nothing to say.
