The room and bathroom are spacious, the bed very comfy, and the towels with a delicious smell of clean. Location is good, at a short and pleasant walk from the main square. The staff is kind and the place is very quiet, with beautiful views.

It's not obvious to find the reception, and we were welcomed by a very patient person who didn't speak English. We still don't know if there was a restaurant in the hotel, as there was no info in the bedroom, and the language gap made us discouraged from additional conversation.

Darchi is a newly built hotel on the south side of Stepansminda. We had one of the large rooms with mountain view towards the southern slopes of Mt Kuro (not Mt.Kazbegi if that matters to you). The room was clean and light and had basic amenities like a water cooker. Breakfast was served to the table in a spacious restaurant downstairs and had decent variability (we stayed there for a whole week!) The staff try their best with English although you'd be better off speaking Georgian or Russian.

Small things irritated us slightly like not being able to fully close the curtains due to a large balk in the ceiling and reading lights being positioned too far from the bed to be of use for reading. The shower had variable pressure and really hot water. There were few other quests so I can't comment on the sound proofing.

I genuinely enjoyed my stay in Darchi! Special thanks to the staff of the hotel. They are very welcoming and caring, making you feel more like at home than just at the ordinary hotel. The best location in my opinion: far away from noisy central road, close to mountains, no need to go up a steep hill in order to get to the hotel. The hotel itself is super stylish and new, but also feels cozy. There is also a restaurant functioning on the zero floor which is absolutely amazing. If you choose option with breakfast you will leave the table absolutely full, trust me! Plus you can have an amazing lunch or dinner with traditional Sakartvelos dishes made from local ingredients. Rooms are clean and neat, with super soft beds and puffy blankets. You also get a bathrobe and a full shower kit. I'm looking forward to coming back here!

I really don't know what could have been better

The room was great. Large and comfortable. There was a table and a sofa in our room. What a view!!! We could also make tea/coffee in our room. We knew that this would be a bit of a “splurge”, but it was worth it. We originally booked for 2 nights, but stayed 3. This hotel has only been open for about a year, so it is establishing its reputation. The breakfast was very good - more food than we could eat. The ladies in the restaurant were really friendly, and helpful, despite our inability to communicate well because of language differences.

The only problem is the language. They don't speak english. At first they said we can order breakfast in the room and the next day when we wanted to order they said they dont bring it to the room.

It's a decent hotel in a village like Stepantsminda. The lounge/canteen is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good.

Credit card cannot be used to pay the bill. Well, this is common in mountain regions in Georgia, so maybe I cannot blame it to the hotel. There is no lift for this four-floor building, and the design has some flaw. There should be an entrance to enable people to directly enter the hotel from the street.

Friendly hosts, playground for the kids with toys and everything was super clean. Locations is great too with a nice view. Our 2 kids (1 and 2.5 year old) enjoyed the playground a lot.

The stay was amazing! Firstly, we enjoyed our spacious, soundproofed room with a stunning mountain view. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff was absolutely kind and caring. Secondly, the hotel provides private parking for guests, which is a big advantage. During our stay, we decided to spend a few more days there, because the atmosphere was so soothing that we couldn’t leave. We’ll come back for sure!
