Argini was a last minute hotel booking for me, my wife and my parents. It had only recently opened, so obviously there can be some trepidation, but the whole hotel experience matched the website. The hotel is incredibly elegant - taking a beautiful neoclassical building and modernising it. The end result is beautiful - the fixtures and fittings of the rooms were first class. The hotel was small and boutique in size, and this meant the service was very personalised, and all of their recommendations were spot on - from restaurants to beach clubs. The food at breakfast was superb, with an excellent selection a la carte. We also ate there one night for dinner, and the food as exceptional as well - the fish was sourced from their choice of local fishermen, and for me, the local fish ceviche was spot on in terms of flavour balance of salt/sweet/heat, and that's not something you can always say about modern food in Greece. The hotel is family run, and I think this is reflected in the warmth of the service. All the staff were excellent and accommodating. We had a car and an added bonus was a private car park for the property - a rarity in Ermoupolis I think. The location of the hotel was fantastic. A few minute's walk from the town square and hall, a minute's walk to Agios Nicholas church and a few minutes walk to Little Venice where you can have a swim off the rocks if you like.

Nothing - the stay was exceptional, and we would return in a heartbeat!

Staff was amazing - very careful to all our needs and best recommendations. Wonderful breakfast, rooms were renovated with great taste - incredibly comfortable. Location is perfect! We were there on a family trip and the experience overall was unforgettable. Thank you Argini team!

Argini is located at a historical 19th century building. It offers comfort of higher standard while preserving elements from the initial decoration and atmosphere of the building. The personnel was really polite and helpful. The concierge service supported us with the booking of activities in town, which made our overall experience more enjoyable. The personnel also supported us with special wishes, including transport and storage of our wines (purchased in Santorini) so they would not get spoiled in the car in the hot weather. Breakfast was also daily freshly prepared using partially locally sourced ingredients.

The service concept of the restaurant Elexis at the rooftop was not up to our expectation. Our appetizers and first courses arrived almost simultaneously which made our tasting experience slightly stressful (as the warm appetizer arrived with the salad and had to be consumed warm).

Previously a family residence now restored to excellence. Luxurious yet homely, designed to perfection. Cleanliness, service, politeness, location, all top rated. Breakfast a la carte served in the yard and a Michelin starred restaurant on the roof with breathtaking views of Ermoupolis. Special thanks to Maria, Kleopatra and Eva! The staff are brilliant. The hotel design is classically modern with so many eye catching features. The chef who creates a wonderful breakfast is charming and continuously seeking perfection. The location is so quiet and within walking distance of everything.

Unfortunately the plunge pool on the rooftop couldn’t be used. I’d have also selected a bigger room, with better views. Though these are not dislikes, just considerations.

Opened in spring 2024, this hotel won us over with impeccable service and its beautifully restored charm. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, blending history with modern luxury. It’s the perfect spot to relax and feel genuinely welcomed.

For my taste, the pillows were a bit hard - I prefer feather pillows - but everything else was perfect.

Stunningly beautiful property, restored beautifully. Excellent location, a five minute walk from the main square and only a few minutes away from the best restaurants. Excellent hospitality and service from the hotel staff. This is our fifth time in Greece and this is among the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Could not ask for more!

Nothing - it was exceptional

Hotel Argini would have to be the most luxurious hotel I have stayed in and the most comfortable. It is quiet, comfortable, with unparalleled facilities and a personal element that sets it aside from anywhere else I have stayed before. This was the third time I have stayed here and will continue to come as long as I continue to visit Syros.

Amazing property! Beautifully and tastefully renovated. Wonderful architectural features and decoration. Lovely rooftop offering breathtaking views. Very attentive service, everyone really contributed to making my stay memorable. Tasty food, relaxing spa and massage. Perfect getaway and good location.

The modernist aesthetic in conjunction with the neo-classical architecture of the building create a unique resonance. The 19th century ceiling murals are a sight to behold and the interior lighting make them even more special. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was of a very high quality, without breaking the bank.

The fact that we didn’t book more days and had to leave.
