The breakfast was delicious. They had options of different ways to have your eggs. There were three types of cereals and yogurt. The location is amazing. You step out of your room into well looked after garden and on to the beach. I loved that the breakfast area looked out over the ocean. The hosts were very kind and friendly.

The wifi did not work in our room. We had to go out of the room to get a connection. The windows of the sliding doors looked dirty and sticky. The loungers were not clean and there is a overall damp smell in the lodge

We were very comfortable in our room and loved the view over the beach!! The room is very airy and comfortable and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the surf! Spacious room with large, comfortable bed. There's a separate kitchen area which was useful. Other people have commented that the furnishings are dated. Yes, they could use a refresh but everything was comfortable, functional and clean. Tim and Elsa were very friendly and helpful, providing all the info we needed. I loved being able to easily access the beach. Breakfast is plentiful with good coffee. The location is convenient - a short drive to the village and, as I said, overlooking the magnificent beach. We just wish we'd had more time here! Thank you for your hospitality , Tim and Elsa!

It was all wonderful!

We arrived on a cold and rainy afternoon. Elsa welcomed us in the most warm and friendly manner, we felt at home immediately. Small items such as an extra blanket and a heater were readily available. The views were lovely from the rooms and dining room and the beach within walking distance from our room. Elsa's knowledge about the eateries and tourist attractions added to our memorable stay. Will visit again.

A fantastic warm welcome by Tim and Elsie awaited us. We had a lovely double room called White Sands with natural light and a vast ocean view on the ground floor room with two loungers outside on the verandah. It is a short walk across well-kept lawns and a few steps down to the white sands. Walking on the beach in either direction is super and food for the soul. Superb fresh breakfasts are served upstairs with a great 180-degree view of the sea and beach with friendly excellent service and helpfulness throughout our stay. Excellent value for location. Wished we had stayed longer than 3 days. We would certainly return to The Pink Lodge. It is also pet-friendly.

Excellent location straight onto the beach. Breakfast was plenty , continental or cooked breakfast staff really polite and Elsa the manager was very helpful if you needed anything you only had to ask , she recommended eating places to go, which were great.

Although the room was very large and clean, the guest house is very dated old furniture painted white, and the bathroom had brass taps that you would put on a garden wall which I found hard to turn .

The view was awesome. All the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and I loved the fact that they didn't mind making me an omelette or french toast.....

Taking in consideration the age of the property it was in a fairly good condition, but a nip and a tuck here and there would not hurt 😅 I must say that the view from my room and the friendlyness of the host ,Elsa, and all the other staff made up for it all.

Tim is a real asset to this establishment and went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay. He is warm and friendly and extremely helpful in assisting us with recommendations for restaurants in the area. He is a true gem. The views from the apartment were stunning and we were fortunate enough to see dolphins every day.

With load-shedding being an ongoing issue in SA, investing in an inverter or similar to handle the downtime would be wise. We stayed there for business and needed to do online work but could not due to the load-shedding schedule. Other similar establishments in the area, provided backup systems. This would be something we would need to consider, should we return on business again.

The facilities are fabulous. The staff are wonderful and the view is stunning! My sister and I really enjoyed our time there.

Access to our room meant going up a narrow staircase, and once in our room, there was another narrow staircase. Navigating it was tricky. Going up and down carrying luggage was just looking for trouble. So we left our suitcases in the downstairs area and carried our clothes/toiletries upstairs to shower. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lights upstairs.

The view is gorgeous... Green lawns, sand, wide sea and sky. Walks on the beach can be endless...we had so much fun with our dogs. Pet friendly... please note there are no fences. Good breakfast.

Taps difficult to turn. Pets quite rightly must not be left alone in the rooms. They can also not accompany you to breakfast. My husband and I took turns to go to breakfast which was rather sad. Also getting down (and up) the wooden stairs to the beach could be difficult or perhaps even prohibitive for someone with a health problem.

We stayed in 2 units (Nellies nest and Whale) both had a patio with beautiful sea-views, sound of the ocean as you go to sleep. Mini bar in the room with some waters and drinks that can be purchased was just the perfect final touch. Walking distance to the main beach and restaurant nearby for dinner was a plus too.

That we could not stay longer!
