Duet Hearts undoubtedly was the best value for money, level of service and quality of the room during our stay in Sri Lanka. We booked a deluxe double room with balcony. The room was large, clean with a beautiful bathroom and lovely views across the valley. Very close to town but the highlight was the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner throughout the booking process and during our stay, and the welcome and service provided by the onsite host, the owner's father who was just delightful. The breakfasts served on our deck were fantastic too. A four star experience for fraction of the price. Highly recommend.!

The location is very convenient and also quiet set back from Ella City. The bed is super comfortable and everything was very clean. We had great communication with the owners son on WhatsApp. The owner and his wife live on site and they are such friendly welcoming people, they invited us into their home for a cup of coffee and shared information about their culture which was awesome! The view from the balcony is also amazing 🤩

We had a most wonderful stay at Duet Hearts. The rooms was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with the best shower we’ve had in a month travelling Sri Lanka (including working hot water!). Breakfasts were fresh, delicious and plentiful. Location is excellent, just a short walk from the main shopping/eating streets in Ella (there is a small hill and some stairs - nothing strenuous at all, but worth noting if you have mobility problems). And our hosts Rupa and Nanda were so warm, helpful and friendly - we really felt welcome and at home. Thanks so much!

Wow, I have to say after travelling to many different countries over the last 25 years, I have never met more hospitable people than Rupa and Nande Rupa is kind, funny and will do anything to help you, You can ask him anything, we had many conversations about culture and life in general, both Sri lankan culture and my culture in Northern Ireland, We had breakfast and dinner at their home instead of having it at our balcony, They treated us as family, The best stay we have had in Sri Lanka, Thank you for your kindness Rupa and Nande 🙏 Memories for life, obagē karuṇāvaṭa bohōma stūtiyi,

Nothing, it was exceptional

We loved staying here! The owner has taken care to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests. Room has all the facilities of a 5 star hotel with amenities like a hairdryer and iron provided. The room overlooks a lovely view and we enjoyed having a cup of tea on the balcony or chilling on the couch. Shower is superb with good water pressure. The owner’s father who manages the day to day running was kind and unobtrusive. The property is a short walk to the starting point of the 9 arch bridge walk and close to the main strip with shops and restaurants. We hope to stay here again.

Everything was great. A few suggestions to the owner- the hot water didn’t work on both mornings so you may wish look into that. The bathroom is showing signs of mould which is to be expected in a humid place but you may want to have it fixed as it would otherwise ruin the great place you have created. We will recommend your homestay to family and friends.

The place is a bit away from the main street, but still close. It's almost like your own villa, because in the guesthouse there are only two rooms. Breakfast on the terrace and you can choose the menu (I would recommend the local one). There was all you need - electric cattle, hair dryer, iron, sockets with USB and a big modern bathroom with hot water. What you won't find are distractions like tv and noisy bars rather you can enjoy the cozy balcony with nice view and the sound of nature and sometimes melodic songs from the temple nearby. Rupa was such a perfect host - kind, respectful, humble. I would definitely recommend Duet hearts 💞

It was good that we had mosquito repellent with us, because it's nature around you and there were insects sometimes

Duet Hearts is a real family run business with the most adorable hosts we ever had. First the room is beautifully furnished and perfectly equipped. The is really cosy and comfortable, it’s quiet apart from the mesmerizing sound of a temple on the mornings. The included breakfast can be chosen everyday and the price is unbeatable. But this is nothing compared to the welcoming and heartwarming approach of the hosts. We experienced very warm-hearted people throughout Sri Lanka. But this family is next level. We appreciated our stay and will be happy to come back one day. Thank you!

One of the best small hotels we ever stayed at with great price-value. Generous and absolutely clean rooms with private terrace with a view. Very comfortable beds and very hospitable hosts. There are only two rooms, so it feels more like a homestay and it's about 5 minute walking distance to the Main Street with many restaurants and bars. Very good location and also close to the popular Lanka's Cooking Class. The highlight is the breakfast on the terrace and you get to choose from 4 different options. Highly recommended!

No real coffee (only Nescafé)

Lovely modern and spotless, spacious room and great bathroom. Very comfy bed. All the amenities you need incuding iron , hairdryer and good llittle fridge - even a candle in case of electricity outage:) Magnificent views from the private balcony overlooking mountains and valley. Friendly hosts who happily offered advice on what to do and to help arrange our preferences, though we ended up doing our own thing. Good communication with the son though we didn't meet him. Really short walk to the buzzing town centre - this place is so quiet yet really central.

Nothing really.- just perhaps we didn't get the breakfast options we ordered either morning - perhaps a communication issue with the father of our host? Breakfast was still good though! A note - a small torch is handy for walking home at night.
