Comfortable beds with mosquito net. Great Shower. Great location for access to attractions and main town. Hanging space for washing clothes.

No ventilation (only small extractor/ no windows). Room and sheets smelt damp and mouldy. (Not sure why but the owners kept turning off extractor every night after we put it on, which made the smell and ventilation worse). Very dark room. Owners weren't there for check in. Thankfully room was open so we let ourselves in. Some noise at night from people in other homestays around. Didn't bother us too much.

The room is nice and very spacious, and there's a large terrace in front of the room with a table. It feels like your own little apartment. The bed is big and VERY comfortable. (It's two singles pushed together.) It was really quiet and I slept well. The location is far enough away from the downtown chaos to be quiet, but close enough to easily walk to the restaurants, shops, etc. The washroom is also spacious and the water pressure is really good. There's hot water which is necessary in Ella. The hosts are very kind!

This place is really good and I felt comfortable there for the most part, but the washroom needs more cleaning. The toilet and sink were clean, but it looks like the wall tiles could use a good scrub. If the washroom were more thoroughly cleaned, I think the place would feel MUCH better overall. This was a little bit disappointing, but it can easily be fixed. There is also a damp smell and feel in the room, but this is probably unavoidable in Ella....it rains A LOT! (Especially in the rainy season!)

Solo female traveller. Perfect location, close enough to everything but peaceful. No view of the mountains but when you walk up the driveway its amazing, lovely outside deck with light which gives you another lovely space to enjoy. Very clean room, amazing hot shower, very comfortable bed and spaceous room. Helpful host, greeted me with a pot of hot tea. Had a breakfast and dinner cooked by host both lovely and even did some laundry at very reasonable costs for all, yes limited English but my Sri Lankan is non existant too - family helped out and managed to get by really well. Definately a great stay and ticked every box for me as was out and about but close enough to pop back to accomodation and go again with any effort. A great stay.

Very comfortable homestay. Very well located just outside the central part of Ella on a small local street, which is good is you want to sleep well. Having spent a few days in Ella, I strongly recommend avoiding residing near the "downtown" core (which is literally 3 streets) because it is very noisy. Stay off the main streets, in that sense The Little Cottage is perfect. The room is spacious, bed comfy, staff very welcoming and helpful. And you have a very nice view on Ella Rock on the street. I would definitely go back.

Lovely place, down a lane so peaceful for Ella! But still walking distance to centre and nine arches bridge path. Owner doesn't speak fluent English but no problems communicating, and her daughter is pretty good. I had some excellent meals while I was there, and it was just the kind of place that I was looking for.

Only negative was AC being turned off after a few hours, but I think they thought I had gone out, and it's expensive to run, so perfectly understandable.

The hygiene was outstanding. Everything in the room was super clean and fresh. The bed was super comfy and cozy. Pillow, cushion and towel were provided. The hosts were also happy to assist with anything necessary. The lady would clean the premises daily and the front porch. She'd also clean the room and bathroom if you asked her. Both the room and bathroom are super spacious. This place is a little gem. I stayed 5 nights and truly enjoyed the comfort and surroindings of Nature all around. I highly recommend this stay.

The room was a little dark unless you remove the front curtains by the door but then you have no privacy.

It was the dream place and we would have stay there for ever 😀. There is only one room here so it's very calm and it makes you feel VIP. The owners are kind and quiet, they cook excellent breakfast and diner. The room is very clean and the bed is large and super confortable. It's just a bit out of the city wich is perfect to relax but you can easily walk to a restaurant or a store.

The woman don't speek much english but she can manage basics.

Such comfy beds and a memory foam pillow. Beautifully stylish mosquito net. Lovely shower and hot! Superb location, very quiet, wonderful bird song in the morning but an easy walk into town. Lovely to be served coffee and cake on arrival.

A kettle in the room would have made the stay even more perfect.

Cozy location surrounded by greenery yet within easy walking distance to the nine arches bridge and downtown. I recommend it.

Rough access road that allows tuktuk and cars to arrive in a difficult way. Our tuktuk had to stop on the main road.
