We had an absolutely amazing stay at Waterford Castle Hotel Lodges. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful at the Waterford Castle Hotel when we checked in. The lodge accommodation is extremely spacious and has all the amenities you need for a very enjoyable stay, including spacious rooms, hair dryers, oven, fridge, indoor and outdoor seating areas and a microwave and toaster. We arrived with minimal supplies as we booked it quite late and there was instant coffee and milk in the fridge when we arrived. We grabbed takeaways from the clubhouse, which were great. The setting is absolutely beautiful with deer, birds, badgers, foxes and other wildlife including a wallaby. It was also quite thrilling having to use the ferry to get to the lodge.

Lodge was fab, very spacious.

Lodges were lovely, clean and warm. Well stocked - very comfy beds and pillows.

Great place to stay. If I had any criticism it was missing dustpan in kitchen, grill rack kept falling off although maintenance staff called over within 5 mins to fix it but didn’t work. The bathrooms could do I with shelving for storing toiletries.

It is beautiful property. Wish we could have spent more time there.

We arrived a little late and hadn’t had dinner. We asked the receptionist if we could get some food and her response was a flat out “no”. So I walked to the restaurant and asked a waitress if she could get us some food and without hesitation she took my order and had it delivered to our room. It just left me with bad feeling to be lied to by the receptionist.

Great location. Very peaceful, and seeing the deers first thing in the morning is amazing. We were a family of 4 adults and an infant that stayed for two nights. The facilities were fantastic.

The wifi was quite poor. Many of us couldn't maintain a connection. The non en-suite shower has a really strange and difficult to use nosel. I had to use a towel to get a grip to switch it on and off.

The lodge accommodated 5 adults and a baby very well. The fire was lighting when we arrived The kitchen was well equipped and laundry facilities were excellent. The beds were clean and the mattresses were very comfortable. I loved the little patio, the planting and the mature trees. it was wonderful to sleep with the window to the balcony wide open and wake to the beautiful dawn chorus. We enjoyed the ferry to and from the island and never had to wait long.

WiFi was dreadful. We stayed in January and didn’t have a problem with WiFi then. if you need WiFi for work, don’t stay at No 7. My mobile data didn’t work either. It was frustrating but I hot-spotted from my daughter’s phone when really necessary. Gomo worked without a problem. 3 couldn’t cope at the location.

The reason I haven’t given a 10 / 10 for this property is because of a few things. 1. TV in living area is very old and small, should be upgraded to a large smart tv especially as there isn’t any tvs upstairs. Beds and couch were very uncomfortable. Upgrades are needed considering the prices they are charging.

There is no safe fenced in area for dogs to have a run and stretch their legs, a few of the lodges should have a closed in back garden for service dogs so families with them can use safely.

I've been running an annual get together for a decade now, and I can easily that these houses are the best ones I've found. Extremely comfortable, very warm, an awesome location and very nice staff with plenty of communication. People really enjoyed afternoon tea as well.

The wifi was a bit slow in the houses.

Location was stunning! Lodges extremely well equipped with beautiful views. Car ferry extremely easy to use and adds to the experience. So so so happy we stayed here and we will be returning!

There really wasn't much not to love! The place is stunning! The wifi is the only thing I can think to moan about. In the lodge we were in we had a very very weak signal. I am sure it works well in other lodges but in ours we resorted to our mobile data.

The setting was amazing. The lodge itself was bright and clean and we had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable.

The shower in the smaller en-suite was difficult to use so we just made do with the other two showers. We think that possibly a handle was missing.
