A very good Irish Breakfast, we had dinner in Waterford, near the Viking triangle McCleary's Restaurant, a very welcoming and pleasant experience many great things to do in Waterford, Parking on the front and then walking at leisure around the city. There is plenty to see and do, including the crystal factory tour, the wake museum, the Viking museum - many things a great place. We walked to the local "The Miler Pub" on the 2nd night, easy menu choices, Pizza or Pizza, we had Pizza, a very warm welcome by everyone within, it was a local and felt like it, a great live band followed and we staggered back to the hotel, 200 or so yards away.
Nothing really,

Beautiful countryside house staff were excellent and greeted us on arrival made checking in so easy arranged a taxi for us to go into town that evening. Bedroom was lovely warm and cosy loads of hot water everything in the room/bathroom was spotless nice comfy beds and extra pillows and duvet if needed. Great nights sleep no outside or inside noise .loads of condiments i.e tea coffee milk etc for our stay ( 1 overnight) breakfast was absolutely lovely cereals orange juice apple juice etc menu was brilliant from full Irish to scramble egg and others lots of brown bread and toast large pot of tea coffee the breakfast staff were attentive and you could hear the cook cooking your breakfast no dried rashers or eggs there! Left breakfast room full and 😁 and ready for the long drive home . This country house is the best we have stayed in ( and we travelled Ireland alot) and I will use this gem the next time we are in Waterford
The only downfall is it is a bit outside of the city itself and it can be a little expensive to use taxis going to and from the city fare is around 15 euros each way but still you can incorporate that with your cost of staying at this country house and it still ends up cheaper than city hotels.

I loved this guesthouse. It is everything that once epitomised Irish hospitality. Friendly staff. Very clean. Comfy bed. Good old-school fry in the morning. I read the negative comments before I stayed and, yes, the decor may be a bit dated and there is not much on offer for breakfast except the fry up. And maybe some of the rooms suffer from a lack of pillows or such like... but not mine. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean. And the breakfast is what it is: a full Irish. And well cooked at that. If you are looking for a taste of traditional Ireland with its 'no-frills' solid values, then thus is the place for you.
The only negative was that the walls are a bit on the thin side. Luckily I did not have noisy neighbours so this wasn't a problem for me.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast were the best. I wanted the recipe! Better than almost every restaurant version I’ve ever tried. Staff were lovely. General facilities were good but a hotplate/oven in the guest kitchen would’ve been great.
My room needed a refresh - particularly the bathroom - a very small shower-toilet - shower was a bit grungy and I had two cold showers in 5 days as the hot water didn’t always work. My room was changed just after I checked in and the second one did not have a desk I could work at. But I did have a view of the cows! A decent size coffee mug would’ve made me happy.

I chose this hotel for the location to where i was working in Waterford. It provided very good value for money and the included breakfast provided a good selection and at a good early time. perfect for my working schedule. The room was well presented and the bed very comfortable.
The shower head was mounted in a cradle that was broken and not the right size for the shower head. The connecting hose was rusty and had mould on it. The actual function of the shower was acceptable but you could not stand under it due to the cradle issue.

The room was spacious, the view nice, the sitting area welcoming and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. The tv and internet are very good and the bathroom sufficient. New towels and room housekeeping were provided each of our three day visit, a rarity for Ireland B&Bs. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to highways. Waterford is not a great distance as are historic attractions to the north.
The breakfast menu was limited, there were no fresh fruits, hot cereal, fresh fruit juices offered. The bed was very uncomfortable, it needed to be replaced.

An excellent place to stay if you're arriving by car, a bit out on a limb if you're visiting Waterford itself. The room was extremely spacious, with a small table and sitting area by the window. There was a kitchenette downstairs, which was very handy on the evenings that we didn't feel like eating out. There's an Aldi just down the road for supplies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, ranging from cereals to Full Irish and served nice and early, not always the case in Ireland. Ample parking on site.
Nothing springs to mind.

We had a lovely overnight stay, room was large, bed comfortable, shower hot with good pressure, very quiet with parking off streets. All you really want. This isn’t a brand new property and has its quirks like all older places do which is what adds to the charm. Don’t expect 5 star if you’re not paying 5 star. Breakfast was yum, still not sure on those puddings, black or white. Happy staying here.
The local pub only a 1-2 minute walk doesn’t do food, so had to drive to find a pub for dinner. Suppose in a perfect world the staff could have told us this, or we could of asked.

Beautiful old hose in the Country near Waterford, the bed was comfortable but not the best we have had, the room was spacious, clean and tidy. The gentleman that met us at the door was friendly and helpful. The parking is good and the gardens are beautiful.
A kid was yelling out through the night which was annoying but thankfully he quietened down. The water in the shower did not get hot but we were given the use of a shower in another room.

The host was warm and helpful, advising us of places to see that could be accessed without a car. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the comfortable room, where the friendly house cat mewed outside our window in the afternoons. A stone's throw from Waterford City, we left with a real impression of Killarney and Waterford being our next County to move to! We appreciated having access to the communal fridge, so that we weren't forced to eat out for every meal.
