The location was excellent, staff were helpful and the grounds were well maintained. There was a laundry and a large outdoor kitchen and dining area - even though we didn’t take advantage of it, the facilities were there for all to use. On parking under a tree and getting bird droppings on our car, the owner kindly scrubbed and hosed the vehicle for us.

The bunk beds were uncomfortable for an adult - they were designed for children I’d guess but as we were 2 single women one choose to sleep in the bunk as the other option was to both sleep in a large double bed. The double bed was comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay! We were a family of five and stayed a week. It had everything we needed. The cabin was warm, cozy and comfortable. Clean. Heat pump kept it nice and warm on the nights it was cold and raining. Electric blanket warmed fast and was great. Overall a great experience and a great stay BUT what made this place amazing was the new owners. We stayed last year and while we liked the place itself the staff were rude not very accomadating. This stay was a completely different experience. The staff were amazing, the owner and the cleaning staff were great. So accomadating. We left our wet towels out to dry on our balcony and typical Tassie weather it rained overnight so the owner grabbed our towels for us without being asked and put them in the dryer and dried and folded them for us and had them sitting in the covered outside patio waiting for us on our return back to the cabin. They were more than happy to provide extra towels etc when needed, and always had a welcoming smile. He was great to talk too, had great tips! Will definitely be back, amazing stay. Thank you 😁

Nothing. Great place to stay. Very affordable too.

The place was equipped with toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap and gel), as well as kitchenware such as pans, spoons and bowls. There is microwave as well. Free parking of your vehicle right outside of the accommodation. The place was very cosy, and the host-operators Alan and Sandy are very friendly and helpful. Please do support them and consider staying at their place if you are headed down to Triabunna or Maria Island

Centrally located right next to a bus stop for to Hobart and East Coast bus services. The room was clean and spacious, bathroom worked well. A totally separate unit, no adjoining walls was nice.

It was pretty old. Kitchen had old appliances. View of TV was interrupted when laying in bed. It was hard to close blinds near the bed so the morning light still came in. Note all these are only minor problems. It was pretty basic accommodation for the price we were charged. It does however seem a common problem along Tasmania's East Coast. The value of accommodation on Tasmania's West Coast or North west is much better per $.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the cabin. Just the right size and very clean with everything needed

Unfortunately something is wrong with the heating in the cabin. It just did not warm up at all, no idea why and to add to that the RHS of the electric blanket did not work at all, so a very cold night. We left early next morning so unable to let reception know. Apart from this all was good.

Good budget option with more than enough room for a family of 4. Convenient location close to the Maria Island ferry terminal. We stayed on the evening of the Australia Day public holiday and the hosts invited us to a free sausage sizzle, which we thought was very kind and thoughtful.

We had trouble with the wifi, and by the time checked in and tried to sign in to the wifi the reception had closed. The tv appeared to have netflix but we couldn't access the sign in. Additionally there was a limit of 3GB data per booking, so we may not have managed to stream anything, anyhow. Sites are very close together and our neighbours spent most of our stay under our window, talking loudly on the phone.

What a great little caravan park! The cabin was modest and probably due for a bit of refurbishing, but was wonderfully comfortable and clean. Hot shower, good kitchen (with outdoor barbie) and great bed. The managers were genial and helpful - thankyou. The caravan park is five minutes walk from the Maria Island ferry port and a few minutes from the surprisingly excellent IGA supermarket.

This is a small caravan and cabin park in Triabunna, where the ferry departs for Maria Island. The park is quiet and centrally located with the local supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. Our cabin was clean and well equipped for cooking. We had a one bedroom cabin that suited our needs very well for a two night stay.

The facilities are starting to be a bit dated. This didn’t affect the enjoyment of our stay.

Our family of 4 stayed one night at the cabin as a gateway to Maria Island. The cabin was compact, clean and comfortable except that the bunk beds provided were a bit too cramped for my sons, one of them being 183cm tall. Basic cooking facilities were provided and we were able to cook simple meals. The caravan park is peaceful and quiet and it was a joy to be surrounded by melodious bird songs most of the time. The cabin is good for short term stay.

The aircon was at one end of the cabin and did not quite reach the bunk bed at the other end. Only one deck of the bunk bed was provided with bed warmers hence would be cold during cold days. A small oven and microwave ovens were provided. It would be good if cling wrap and aluminium foils are provided for cooking.

Alan and Sandy are great hosts - cabins are well appointed and very comfortable. More than enough comfort for a family of four, each cabin has cooking facilities including a BBQ. A quiet little town as a launch point for Wombat Heaven day trips on Maria Island. Clear, endless skies and wonderful sunsets in Triabunna.
