Seafront with fantastic view of huge ferry boats coming and goings. Parking available all night right across the street for Euro 1.60. Sweet french balcony with real wood shutters overlooking the harbor. Spotlessly clean. Street can be a bit busy during the day but is completely empty and silent at night. They welcomed me and my 8 kg friendly dog. Reception staff was warm and welcoming. You can park in front during check-in. There's a supermarket about 150m away.

The recessed LED pot-lights are blinding white. They really could change it to a soft temperature of light. No refrigerator. Reception is closed after 21:00. They've apparently upgraded (or just added individual bathrooms) so you have to step up then down into the room from the corridor. I assume that the new piping was installed there, requiring a raised floor in the room entry. Not bad, just awkward.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Gran Duca! The rooms were comfortable, providing the perfect space to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. A highlight of my visit was the on-site restaurant, which offered a fantastic selection of fresh fish dishes paired with an impressive wine list. Every meal was a delight, showcasing the quality and care put into their cuisine. I would highly recommend Hotel Gran Duca to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable stay.

Comfy room, good location near the harbour. Very good breakfast. Our dog was welcomed.

I thought the 15 euro charge excess for the dog was a bit excessive for one night. We were not charged with 'extra cleaning' for any of the other hotels we stayed in on this trip (2) or to be fair on any other trip we have made recently in Italy. We do live in Italy but anyway, the hotel was very still very nice and friendly.

My stay at Hotel Gran Duca was perfect. It was super clean, I have the highest standards when it comes to cleanliness, that no one ever meets, but they were met at Gran Duca. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect, I got the bestest view from my room, and breakfast was also great.

The hotel is very comfortable, all the staff were helpful and polite. Food was great quality but very expensive.

Beds are very hard. No air-conditioning available this time of year. Street outside very noisy, so not able to have the windows open at night to cool the room.

Unfortunately our room was next to a very noisy family ( Dad, Mom and 4 years old kid ) shouting and yelling all the time starting 7 in the morning, nonstop !!! Even though when The booked my room asked for quiet area . Other than that all was good .

Beautiful, grand old hotel with a wonderful close location to the port, lovely welcoming staff and great restaurant. We arrived off the ferry and easily walked there, and then enjoyed a wonderful evening meal. It was then only a few steps to the bus stop to go to the train station and the reception staff were keen to offer advice and directions. There were great views from the large windows in the hallway, over the port, and from our room over the piazza behind the hotel.

The location was very good with shops and transport close by. The hotel restaurant and its staff were very good

Parking although if you are prepared to walk there is very good private undercover within a reasonable distance

The pillows are too high and stiff. I wanted real feathers pillow that adapted around one's head. The windows allow noise from the street to penetrate the room. Everything else is fine.

Extremely convenient for catching ferry to Corsica. 15 min walk, turn tight out of hotel, over bridge and in middle of bridge, go down steps/slope, left at bottom and into the port. Very helpful gentleman on reception who gave us clear directions. Lovely fish restaurants nearby. Just turn right before aforementioned bridge. Nice clean spacious room with window overlooking bustling port.
