The property is in the middle of renovations and is seriously upgraded from what it was a couple years ago. they have the main reception and restaurant done and about a third of the rooms near the pool. I wandered back into the area they are still working on. when it is done it will be quite nice. as is the section that they have open is nice and a bargain at least for now. 2 blocks to beach access. it dosent come with breakfast which is what we wanted because the best pastry shop on the north coast is half a block away, belgium bakery plus it has air conditioning

It would have been nice if they had a parking lot. If you are taking a taxi from the airport and want to be able to walk to restaurants and the beach without haveing to deal with dominican traffic this is perfect.

I'm thrilled with my stay at Hotel El Kaboa! The new owner and management have made a remarkable difference in the overall experience. The hotel is now cleaner, more presentable and exudes a welcoming ambiance. One significant improvement is the absence of the dog refuge, which had previously caused a distinct smell in the lobby. Now, it's a breath of fresh air, and I couldn't be happier with the positive changes they've implemented. My time here has been truly enjoyable, and I look forward to returning in the future.

The Kaoba has been totally renovated. The former owner sold the hotel to some people who now really care about the facilities and the service. The difference is very noticeable. The rooms are now cleaner, total change of the rooms, the bathrooms and the pool area. The staff very attentive and also renovated. And the same price continues. I will definitely be back.

super price and very good location, it has a great pool and it looks like you are in a jungle :) the rooms are nice and you have enough space. Michel the Owner was great at communicating and he is a Hero, he helps injured dogs and takes care of them, the dogs have a wonderful live at the hotel, what you are doing for the Dogs is incredible, I take my hat off. the entrance can be a little bit smelly sometimes but they do a great job at cleaning it every couple of hours so that didn’t bother us at all. thanks for having us Michel. we would come back anytime. kindly Christian & Jenna

Small bungalow right next to the pool. Great location close to the beach. Great price in comparison. Would go again

Lobby is very smelly (dogs) and it’s not the cleanest place overall. It’s great that the owner looks after the injured dogs, though. The bungalow was clean, however, so this was fine for me. Sometimes the reception is not staffed, so the owner needs to be contacted via WhatsApp, if you need anything.

The garden and swimming pool are amazing, the room has everything I need, location is great, good price.. Also, you can bring your pet with you :) They're helping animals at the place, so don't be surprised to see many friendly dogs living here. So good that someone took care of them :)

The atmosphere was spectacular

Good location. Room was in back so fairly quiet. Balcony overlooking river and nature. Nice pool. Good staff.

The manager or owner was apparently a true dog lover as there were about 8-9 dogs around. Unfortunately some were older so the lobby smelled like a kennel. Not a good first impression.

Compact and comfortable, no need for a lot, its pretty good

The shower is a little bit small but it's not a bad thing

Very good location. It has all it needs and perfect for a stay of a few days.

The reception is quite smelly. However that does not influence the stay at all since it is far away from all rooms.
