The room was nice, big, with a comfy bed, cleaned daily. The pool area was fantastic , beautiful clean pools with nice chairs. The cleaning lady was very nice, always saying hello with a smile, on the other hand one od the ladys in the restaurant would need some customer service trening. You need a taxi from Plakias to resort and it cost 8€. The sunbed on the beach cost 20€. The beach area is amazing but rocky. Wifi worked great in the room and by the pool.

I don't think it should be marked as a 4 star hotel. It definitly needs a bit od renovation. The food could be better, and should have labels. If you are vegan, you are going to be very limited. ( Vegies and fruit, french fries and pasta,) No option for no dairy milk or desserts, beside pasta and rice no other option. The windows in the restaurant were dirty all 3 days, (never cleaned) At the dinner you had to ask for water, the machine did not work.

The location is amazing with a beautiful creek perfect for snorkelling. Beautiful views of the sea from all over the resort. Stairs to go up the rock and a 30 minutes hike give access to a beautiful beach - Damnoni where some nice restaurants can be found. The staff from Kalypso were very friendly also.

The rooms could use some renewing of the facilities and the bathrooms are old style. I would be ready to pay a little more to have newer facilities. I would have also liked to have an “a la carte” restaurant as the only possibility to eat is at all inclusive, so at some point you get fed up. The main pool was dirty even though the staff did consistent efforts to clean it up every day

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet spot, surrounded by cliffs. It features a private, sheltered rocky bay ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The breakfast and dinner were both good, and there are plenty of activities, such as diving, yoga sessions, and evening entertainment. It’s also an excellent base for exploring the southern coast, whether by rental car or through the many organized trips offered by the hotel. For those who enjoy hiking, both Plakias and Amundi Beach are reachable by foot.

The place has a nostalgic 1970s vibe, but could benefit from some renovation or, at the very least, better maintenance and cleaning. In certain areas, like the small streets, dirt was swept into piles but left there for days without being collected. The restaurant service was not well organized, with waiters lacking coordination. Overall, the hotel would greatly improve with better management to address the lack of structure among seasonal and temporary staff.

The location was beautiful. 3 pools, 1 large one and 2 smaller, plus a tiny beach and sea access via the rocks and steps. The rooms were spacious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Food was reasonably good but repeatative. There were 2 steps from the bed to the corridor to access the bathroom, my husband fell down these in the dark during the night! The whole property is on a steep hill, not so good if u have mobility issues. The bathrooms were dated.

Best value for your money that we found on Crete. Clean pools, great ocean access, large rooms with views and good food. The facilities are dated but great value for your nightly rate. The staff are amazing very helpful and professional.

Property does need updating but if they did you would pay three times the price.

The location and hotel grounds were outstanding. The hotel is set in a preservation area of natural beauty. The rooms are very large, there are 3 pools and the choice of food is very good

As the beach cove which is on the hotel grounds is open to the public, there are members of the public who take advantage of the hotel facilities liie the pools, without the hotel staff knowing. This is unfair to the hotel guests that pay money to stay there

You have the opportunity to have access to an amazing hotel for a cheap price. The location cannot be better, the creek is simply amazing. The pool with the bar is very nice with incredible views. The room is big and nice, and the bed very comfortable. The buffet is surprisingly good. There's lot of cool activities. It looks like a 5 star resort that downgraded to 4 star. It makes it very good for the price.

The bathroom is bad, it seems it hasn't been reformed since the 80s. The staff is very nice and helpful but there's very few of them. Don't expect a Cretan/Greek experience but more of a resort one.

Good price for spacious, comfortable and clean room at a beautiful location in the cliffs. One very big pool and two smaller, infinity pools with nice views over the sea. Maybe the accomodation is a little bit outdated, but everything works and gets cleaned.

Not everything from the buffet was tasty, but you could choose the better stuff. Bathroom was big, but shower placed in front of the toilet and a seperate bath. Thus bathroom and toilet floor could get wet

This was our second stay at Kalypso and we find everything great value for money. As we're do not spend alot of time at the resort other than sleeping and breakfast it is perfect for needs. The rooms are large with fantastic sea views and breakfast had a nice variety. I find the ladies on reception to be lovely and willing to help with any requests.

My only complaint is the wifi as there is no access to wifi or mobile phone service in the room, you need to visit the pool or reception are to gain any access. Having said that once you arrive and see the amazing location it makes sense there is an issue with Internet access. Other than that no other issues.

We booked this while we were already in Crete and didn`t checked a lot befor booking. When we arrived we were absolutely amazed! The hotel is located in an amazing spot, great views, beach, pools, restaurant and rooms. We were upgraded to a suite and it was awesome, everything clean, the staff was always nice and helpful. All inclusive is definitely worth it, we even decided to stay more days after our first booking. Definitely the place you want to stay in Crete.
