I was searching for a good hotel for my 5th visit in Rhodes island but this time it was my first vacation alone so I searched for a small hotel far from the overcrowded Rhodes city with good reviews and it took awhile until I came across with Lardos Bay Hotel. By the reviews it seems that the hotel has one downfall which is the Wi-Fi connection reliability especially in the rooms area. So I decided to book this hotel and of course to purchase a SIM card with a huge internet package because I needed to work on my laptop during the stay and I couldn’t take the risk after reading the bad reviews about the Wi-Fi. I arrived at the Hotel around 14:00 and i was lucky that the room was surprisingly ready earlier than 15:00! I had to try the Wi-Fi connection for myself and yes it is terrible, it has extremely low internet speed like in the late 90s and it stops working every few minutes or even seconds and I was getting the “No internet connection” message constantly. I truly believe if they had a good and reliable Wi-Fi connection they could have easily go above 9.5 rank in booking.com. Other then the Wi-Fi issues, all the hotel staff from the room attendants to the front desk receptionists are very professional and friendly they always smile and wants you to feel comfortable especially the cute Italian girl at the hotel’s “market” (shop) who thought I’m Italian too :) It looks like the hotel got renovated recently and the room was modern, well maintained and clean to perfection. The public areas looks clean and well maintained as well. I booked full board = breakfast, lunch and dinner that i was told at the check-in it also includes soft drinks and snacks at the pool bar (soft all inclusive) - the food is alright and suitable for a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is 200 meters / 4 minutes walking to the beach, at the beach you can rent 2 Sun beds for 10€ (no option to rent 1 bed).

We had a small hiccup at the start due to overbooking and had to spend our first night in the neighboring hotel (Olive Garden****) However, as compensation we were upgraded to Full Board Plus with drinks, which was fantastic! Even though the other hotel was 4 stars and this one is 3, we honestly preferred this one by far! The hotel and room were beautiful, well-maintained, and had a high-quality feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. After losing our door card to the wind, we casually asked once for cleaning, and from then on we received fresh towels and cleaning every day — such a nice surprise! The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, and even when some meals weren’t to our taste (understandable with so many nationalities), we always found plenty of delicious options to fill our plates multiple times. Special thanks to Dimitrij and the restaurant staff — they were fantastic and very helpful. The only downsides were the desserts (not really our taste, same as in the first hotel) and the morning coffee. But everything else made up for it. Our room had a view over the pool and the evening animator programs — they looked like a lot of fun! Big thanks to the super cool and easygoing girl at reception who checked us in. Overall: highly recommended — warm atmosphere, great food, lovely people!

Spacious room, lovely bathroom with excellent shower. Swim up shared pool very nice . Close to beach Free parking Friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend the hotel when sewage problems are sorted out.

Unfortunately our enjoyment was ruined by the overpowering smell of sewage especially around our room and pool area. Restaurants in Lardos are a taxi ride away We were unable to get a taxi back to the hotel one night , a local shop keeper very kindly gave us a lift. This is no fault of the hotel but worth bearing in mind if you are not on a meal plan .

I was looking forward a lot to this place when I booked it online , and it turned out I made a great choice that was matching my expectations. the room was just excellent , the bed , the shower, the entire hotel is just a well organized project and I enjoyed it a lot. A beautiful pool as expected from the photo's. The beach in front was just excellent as wel., everything was just a Wonderfull experience ! for the budget price I got a free breakfast as well.

If you wanted to walk to the centre town , you needed to be ready for a 2 KM walk , so about half an hour to arrive at town bars and restaurants. but hey the hotel is in front of the beach, so if you had the hotel in the centre , than you had to walk 2 KM a half hour to the beach ! So it is either close to the beach , or close to the centre town, can't have both here. I did the right choice for having a room near the beach , I did not mind the walk to the town. it keeps you in shape. or you take a 2 minute taxi ride if you can't walk at all.

I really enjoyed the variety of things to do in the evenings! And I loved my room! I unknowingly booked the suite with the private pool access.. brilliant! The only downside to it was the rooms are slightly underground so there’s not much sunshine on the terrace, but I loved having the long pool mostly to myself and being able to go in straight from my room! The food selection was great and I loved that they do Greek food every Wednesday. The staff were all so nice and welcoming. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay!

Just that the suite was slightly underground so the terrace didn’t have much sunshine on it. Otherwise- brilliant stay.

Hotel is situated right next to main road and there are enough parking places. The room was clean and we had a nice pool view. Location of the hotel is really nice, close to Lindos and south beaches that are just amazing without people. Breakfast were really good and had no problem with anything. Recommend pancakes as a dessert. :)

Once we left the reception and went outside to the room there was terrible smell. I guess it was problem with waste water or something like that, but we could feel it everyday. And it was unpleasant once the smell got in the room. The close by beach is not nice and you have to go somewhere else or enjoy the pool :).

Breakfast was various and nice. Hotel’s aura was so nice. We stayed 4 nights and it was cool. It’s possible to play tennis. There is open air fitness area. Pool was cleaning every night and there ara cool sunbeds. One of our nights we experienced a live music at the bar. That was a market inside the hotel so you can buy anything you need. Staff were so kind, cheerful and very welcoming.

There was no kettle, glass and treats like coffee/tea in the rooms. There was a mosquito net in the rooms but there are many mosquitos if you forget to close it. In the nights there is a bad smell around the bar. We wrote a note about a baby crib. It was written it’s possible to have a crib when we make reservation. When we checked in there was no crib only a single bed. We made our baby sleep on it. During the station I have received a notification from the hotel that they confirm my crib request. But still nothing showed up.

The hotel has a very good value for the price you have to pay. Breakfast was OK, dinner was better, I think that the food and the staff of the restaurant is good. We had to delay our stay a week and they managed to find us a room.

The room was cleaned only superficially, cleaning is worse than expected. We had some bug issues in the room which the hotel stuff promised to resolve but they didn't, this ruined the whole experience.

It was a fantastic week, I stayed for, I got the full board for food, and soft drinks/ snacks at the beach bar, they even hosted a Greek food day, a live band playing every three days in a row, and overall it was excellent and the room was very clean and staff members were very friendly especially Francesca the receptionist, who would recommend us places to go or book trips for us and is very efficient and friendly and has great communication, thank you very much Lardos Bay Hotel.

The room 228 did have some stains on the curtains and the front door on the inside, and the toilet should have a lock on it, the tv only has news channels in English maybe you should try putting my channels on there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lardos Bay Hotel! The rooms are modern, comfortable, air-conditioned, and equipped with mosquito nets. They were cleaned daily, ensuring a pleasant environment throughout our stay. The hotel is very child-friendly, offering excellent animation programs for both adults and children. There is a children's pool and a playground as well. The food especially dinner was extremely tasty, with a wide variety of choices as well as fresh vegetables and fruits. The staff everywhere were very friendly, making us feel at home after just a few days. The hotel also offered an enjoyable evening program (life greek music, karaoke night, dj night, play night, mini-disco for the kidds) . We initially spent five nights at Lardos Bay Hotel and decided to explore another part of Rhodes. However, after a terrible night at another hotel, we were delighted to return to Lardos Bay Hotel. The value for money is exceptional and exceeded our expectations. Thank you very much!

FYI: We had a rental car, so it was convenient for us to explore different parts of the island and visit various beaches. However, there is also a bus stop nearby for those without a car. The hotel offers an animation program with very good and motivated animators. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at the pool and during the evening programs. However, it might not be suitable for people seeking only peace and quiet. The music and programm starts around 10:00 and goes until 12:30, then resumes from 16:00 until 18:00, and again from 20:30. We managed to have the kids take their midday nap during the quiet time from 12:30 to 16:00. The Wi-Fi connection was not very strong in some areas of the hotel.
