The bed was the most comfortable among all the hotels we have visited. Love the facilities and staff hospitality. The beach was beautiful. My daughter loved the kids' pool and eatting pizza at the pool.

The only thing I would complain was the food menu. We stayed there for 4 days and I started to feel that I craved for an authentic Thai southern food and seafood.

We are a young family of 4, there was plenty for our young kids to do, splash park was fabulous and the food at the pool bar (Mi Scusi) is decent. It was also nice to spend days at the other pool or beach. The gym is well equipped. The kids club offers many activities as well as playing with the toys, soft play and the arcades upstairs. You can sign your kids in and leave your mobile and if your child needs you they will whats app or call you. One of us stayed nearby most of the time. The service and standards at Avani + are outstanding, the staff and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bedding and beds are very comfortable, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash smell divine AND are good quality, especially after a day at the beach and pool, they wash and condition the hair very well. There is some great variety with the restaurants - elements, mi scusi, the beach house and also the burger van. The kids menu is great for those kids who like something a little more simple. The staff at reception are very helpful if you wish to go on excursions through them or just hire a driver on your own. Very impressed with our stay, would come again.

The only criticism is we wish there was a little more thai food starters/appetisers on the beach house menu. Thats it.

We chose the hotel by its amenities/facilities and we didn't regret: Small water play zone with two rides, surfskate park, 24/7 gym with bouldering section, tennis court, private beach, few pools, few ponds with lotuses and other beautiful flowers. Fully equipped kid play indoor area with hourly activities, teen play zone with arcade machines, air hockey table tennis and few other fun things. All this makes this place a good place to stay for few weeks and not get bored. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices and all food was of the highest quality. Complimentary nuts and fruits are nice little things.

On territory restaurants are a bit pricey, but if you have a car/bike, you can easily ride to Khao Lak and have cheaper and bigger choice of meals. Also our room has some unpleasant smell but it was not that strong so after few minutes in a room you stop noticing it.

If I could give the staff more than 10/10 I would. The staff were exceptionally attentive.

Beautiful hotel, staff couldn't do enough to help you. Loved seeing the farm onsite and meeting the farmer who took time to explain the plants to us. The beach is great, quite a walk from the hotel, but very quiet. Games on offer such a pentanque, mini golf and a pool table close to the beach were great to spend time with friends

All the on site prices for food etc. were quite high, whilst all high quality, I think a cheap offering should also be available at least for lunch so you can easily stay onsite, however other places are available down the beach to eat at.

Everyone was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Even the kids’ club team was fantastic – patient, caring, and full of energy. The resort is amazing such a great place to relax & the weather was perfect. The staff were so friendly & helpful & are a great asset to the company.

I was surprised to find an Indian gambling organisation was allowed to set up a display in the resorts lobby! There was also a private party for there guests for which we were asked (politely) to move to another area of the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast selection was fantastic, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to the local beachfront restaurants, which is a great bonus for guests who want to explore dining options beyond the hotel’s F&B. The facilities were impressive, especially the kids' room, which was well-equipped and enjoyable.

The check-in process was quite crowded and didn’t meet the standards expected from a five-star hotel. Additionally, there were no welcome drinks, which would have been a nice touch. The pillows were also too soft for my preference.

Smoking was allowed on the grounds which was unpleasant . Generally Good food but poor vegetarian options . The buffet breakfast was extensive but many of the hot dishes included pork so disappointing for a vegetarian. There were Indian style options , some meat “alternative “ dishes and pasta but no vegetarian Thai dishes . We ate dinner at the little restaurant south of the hotel which had an extensive menu of vegetarian Thai food .
