breakfast was fresh every morning staff spoke little english but were extremely pateient when trying italian, the rooms were cleaned to an exceptional standard every day. the star effect on the ceilling in the rooms were fantastic. The onsite restraunt which had just opened the week we arrived was extremely good value for money, especially if tired from walking or travelling. Mario the chef is a gem of a man, even going off menu for us on our last night and serving us speciality desserts. If you go in the summer you simply must try the Messinan delicassy granita

Great value for the money with all the comfort and amenities plus more. Besides the breakfast room (which was also a restaurant opened for dinner) I really liked the vending machine options on each floor (cafe included) for anyone needing something after hours. Located in an old building but equipped with an elevator (thank goodness!) and surprisingly nice and modern rooms. Spacious, comfortable with a mini fridge and a great shower. In close proximity to the Duomo but also a few streets away from the main harbor/port. Also worth mentioning were the extremely sweet and helpful staff (thank you Giacomo, Giusy and Mina In particular!)

The location is excellent, not far from the harbor and just 20 minutes walking from the train station. The room was big enough (including a small balcony), the hotel is renovated and in general a very nice place to stay. I would just appreciate if the breakfast is served earlier (I only could use it on my last day - but I appreciate at least the combination of typical sweet Italian breakfast with staff like cheese/ham). I would definitely stay here again.

I loved the stay, I even extended it for one day more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable and the place is clean. The breakfast served at the hotel was of high quality (you can ask for scrambled eggs or omelette - very tasty!) The coffee in the morning was a dream. Please bear in mind the municipality changed the street numbering and use the location provided by the staff in your private message once booking completed.

Arrived in Messina without a reservation and was able to confirm Hotel 41 quickly. The Hotel was in the commercial area and seemed safe to walk at night. My room was lovely and Very clean. And the Bath ... the best I've had in Italy; large and wonderful shower! Hotel 41 is an excellent value; staff was kind and helpful; also has a lift. In sum, quite a lovely hotel! Would stay here again!

The Hotel is located in a commercial district and I didn't find many restaurants within a 5 min. walk.

Staff very nice. Breakfast included. Only a few blocks from the water and a short walk to the Duomo and other attractions. Hotel restaurant open until 10pm. Very reasonable pricing. Luggage storage if you plan to see the sites after checkout.

I could smell cigarette smoke in the hallways as they allow smoking in an a sitting area off the hallway.

Staff were wonderful throughout my stay, from those at reception to breakfast( which was really good, loved the omelettes on request 😋 ) and restaurant which I frequented twice , very nice food and reasonably priced . Room was good size , very comfortable bed , and shower was excellent. Very minimal street traffic noise. Location is about 20 mins walk from station . All in all , an excellent hotel which I thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful room with excellent bathroom and shower gel and shampoo in plentiful supply. Breakfast was very very good, including a huge selection of continental breakfast and eggs cooked to order and also granita of your choice with brioche! Superb! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the sea and also very close to the sites in Messina

Loved everything about it

This hotel tries very hard to please. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous and responded to all our needs as best they could. They also gave us a couple of gifts in the form of a dish foc at dinner for us to try and another at breakfast the following day which they said was typical of messina (granita).

Nothing other than Google maps didn’t locate it so we had to search on foot for it but that’s not the hotels fault.

The staff was very kind, always keen to help us. The breakfast is very rich and tasty varying from salty foods to sweets. Cleaning was exceptional, every day the bin was emptied, the room cleaned and vacuumed, clothes and stuff folded. The hotel is placed relatively close to the center of Messina but a little far away from the beach but there are buses that work all day. I greatly recommend this hotel if you visit Messina :)
