The hotel boasts a great central location, within easy walking distance of all downtown attractions, making it perfect for exploring the city. Secure parking beneath the hotel added extra convenience and peace of mind. Upon arrival, the staff were exceptionally friendly safeguarding our luggage and was well-informed about the area, offering helpful tips and a warm welcome. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for luggage, and included thoughtful amenities such as a tea kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker.

The kitchen staff's attention to cleanliness and food handling needs work, as some “cleaned” dishes were still dirty, and bread that had been dropped was returned to the serving basket, which raised hygiene concerns. Although breakfast was good, it was very busy and at times overcrowded. Additionally, the check-in experience was disappointing as the room was not ready at the confirmed time, and we had to wait an hour. Overall, the staff could be more consistently friendly and customer-focused to enhance the guest experience. While the central location is convenient, it comes at a price. The rate felt quite high for just a one-night stay.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful! Check in was done electronically and was very easy (staff were around if you needed help), there was free luggage storage. The room was beautiful and large, the hotel has only just been renovated, so everything is spotlessly clean and everything works perfectly. Our room had a deep bath, which was wonderful after two weeks backpacking 😊. The bed was large and super comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is only a short walk from the station and is very central to the old town.... perfect!

Great location for a short walk into the main part of town, with a convenient parking option next door. Our two year old loved the view - watching the boats up and down the canals and the bridges moving. Beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely breakfast

Our room wasn’t super clean, like maybe they’d cleaned in a hurry and not quite paid attention to detail (for example - there were streaks of hair on the floor, likely left by the mop)

Location was great. Plenty of parking under the hotel (note: you have to drive AROUND the block to find the garage entrance, pull up, and the door will open. Once in, park and look for the signs to the hotel (on the other end of the garage entrance and I believe on -1).

I was fine because I was by myself, but the shower and sink/vanity are open to the bedroom (with a half wall on between them and the bed). If there’s a people, it may be an issue when someone’s showering and/or someone is sleeping.

There is no separate bathroom which is very inconvenient. The shower is just an open space, no door. And there is a huge mirror on the opposite wall, almost no privacy at all. The pillow was quite big. The bike storage is located in an inner yard, so no protection against the rain but it’s a securely locked space.

The location of Gouda Hotel is very near to the Marktplatz and to the town hall. Breakfast was Super delicious and the Hotel staff are very friendly. We will come back again to this hotel.

Great location in the city centre and convient parking in the building. The bed is very comfortable and the room very big and spacious.

For being a 4 star hotel I was expecting a more modern room ans bathroom. The acces to the bathtub was not very easy. Also the room was quite dusty. Not the standard of a 4 star hotel

Excellent value for money and very near the town centre . Rooms were very clean comfortable and easily controlled air conditioning. Breakfast was very good indeed , highly recommended. Staff were very friendly , helpful and spoke really good English

The hotel was very central and had superb, safe bike storage. We didn't get the family room that we requested, which was a bit disappointing, but the rooms were both really nice. The walk into the centre of Gouda was about 10 minutes and we really enjoyed our stay here.
