Everything about my stay there was pretty much as I expected it would be. It was quite well situated, about a 10-to-15-minute walk from the station so even with luggage I could walk there. Some older or less able people wouldn't want to do that, but I'm not a great walker and I did. It was right on the riverbank which provided a nice place to stroll along when I got the chance. It had a midday check out time.

Excellent location, a few minutes away from the highway and at walking distance from the city centre. My room was spacious and clean Check-in and check-out quick and efficient Great bonus: some free if charge parking spots at the hotel entrance

It’s a pity my room didn’t have a safe There was non complimentary water, which has become quite usual in hotels nowadays, and the only water bottle in the room is sold at 4.50€ for 0.5 l, way too much, honestly!

Fantastic service large room great location

Despite booking months ahead and being promised two rooms next to each other for a family and on a low level (due to fear of hights) we were allocated two rooms on a high level not next to each other. Message they sent to promise ignored. Luckily I phoned a few days ahead and was told after a few tasks they will try changing the booking and on arrival we have found we were low level next to each other. Phew.

The man who was on duty after midnight was so helpful after my disgust with the booking I had made at St Gallen. Th e St Gallen accommodation was so bad I had no alternative but to go to my next planned stay at Saarbrucken. There was a pleasant and helpful attitude from the large majority of the staff and a peacefulness in the place

There was not anything I did not like at the Mercure Hotel

The hotel is situated on the banks of the Saar River. It is a classical Mercure hotel. It is 7-minute walk from the railway station and 10-minute walk from the most important sightseeing. Near the hotel is a huge park (walking and running), and vis-a-vis is a congress centre. The breakfast was rich with a touch of local cuisine! Extraordinary perfect!

Very central location, next to shopping district and old town. Full English breakfast and complete bar with cocktails. Underground parking options on arrival. Very kind and welcoming staff. Could not have chosen a better hotel for our visit to Saarbrucken

Nothing not to like.

It is very close to the centre and the pedestrian shopping area, easy to reach, rooms are comfortable.

Breakfast management is not optimal. Breakfast room too small, tyding of tables is too slow. Alos needs 1 or 2 automatic coffee machines to make service quicker and easier (instead of coffee cans)

Breakfast was fantastic. They even had smoked salmon. Wifi was easy to connect and worked well. Car park was secure and easy access to the Hotel.

Bar Fridge didn't work very well, was not keeping anything cold at all. We mentioned it to reception staff but they said "Well it is just a bar fridge what do you expect?" I expect a Fridge to keep things cold. The Air Con in the room didn't work very well either.

The central location is great. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and varied. The staff are kind and helpful. The room was clean

Would be great if the hotel had more parking places. It was also surprising to see the hotel restaurant had only a small menu at the weekend.

I had paid for my room via my Apple Pay & starling bank . However when it came to paying for my garage space the assistant would not do this via Apple pay and wanted the card I had made my reservation with which was different & meant I got bank a charge. She was very adamant and did not understand or seem to want to understand.
