Tucked away near the Valley of the Kings, Al Moudira Hotel is a true hidden gem that offers a distinctive and captivating experience. This enchanting retreat, though 45 minutes away from the city center, perfectly blends antiquity and comfort in a unique, luxurious setting. We spent five remarkable days in a boutique suite characterized by its unique decor and the most wonderful Egyptian cotton bedding, providing an unmatched level of comfort and quality. The hotel grounds are fantastic, boasting an enchanting garden complete with a lovely pool area. The pool bar offers great food, creating a perfect relaxation ambiance after a day of sightseeing. Their dedicated staff deserves a mention. Always available, they add a personal touch to your stay, reinforcing the feeling of luxurious comfort. The hotel's shuttle service, operating twice daily, compensates for its somewhat secluded location otherwise it is advisable to have a car driver, their limousine service is quite expensive but it's easy to find hire drivers in Luxor Center. Despite being away from the city center, the seclusion adds to the hotel's charm and unique appeal. One point for improvement is the restaurant's dinner menu. Nonetheless, the overall experience at Al Moudira Hotel is exceptional. Despite its minor culinary shortcoming, the unique ambiance, beautiful setting, and top-notch service make this hotel a standout choice for any traveler visiting Luxor.

Although the food was decent, we felt it could offer more variety or better pricing for dinner, especially considering the generally affordable food options in Egypt and that their pool bar offers more variety. Same for the other additional services offered by the hotel, prices are really high for Egypt. Nonetheless, the overall experience at Al Moudira Hotel is exceptional.

The hotel is a true marvel. It's located away from the center of Luxor, so if you want to be in the middle of the city, it's not suitable, but if you're looking for a quiet place to relax after your excursions, it's perfect. Everything about the hotel is wonderful: the architecture, the decor, the service, the incredible food (a special mention to the oriental restaurant, which serves the best food we had on our entire trip to Egypt), the rooms, the well-equipped gym, and the spectacular pool. The entire staff is very friendly and attentive to any request, taking care of even the smallest details. It's like living in a palace for a few days. We will definitely return.

Everything was just perfect

A perfect 10 out of 10! I was hesitant at first, wondering if the photos would match reality, and I’m glad to say my expectations were fully met. The hotel looks just like in the pictures. It feels as if time has stood still here since the early 20th century: antique interiors, books available for reading, grand high arches, and spacious halls – truly an oasis in the midst of bustling, crowded Egypt. The rooms are cleaned regularly, and all bathroom fixtures are spotless—almost as if they were just installed. There is no intrusive music, neither in the restaurants nor by the pool—this place is designed for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world and giving your mind a break from constant thoughts. It makes you want to lounge by the pool all day, reading books. The hotel grounds invite you to take peaceful walks through the inner garden and the herb garden, where various plants are grown. The staff is incredibly attentive and courteous. The attention to detail from the hotel's designer is truly impressive—it feels like every little thing has been carefully thought out. This hotel is worth every penny. I will definitely return. My wife was absolutely thrilled and insists that this hotel should become our go-to vacation spot!

everything was perfect

Hands down our favorite hotel we stayed at in Egypt. It’s an oasis of calm, the gardens are beautiful, and the staff is competent and friendly. I am the kind of person who likes to complain and I couldn’t find anything to complain about! The sheets are ridiculously soft (Malaika Egyptian Cotton), the water pressure is great, and it is all very clean and tidy. The food options were also outstanding, the breakfast is delicious. We are vegetarians and there are plenty of options, and they are all tasty. The restaurants at the Al Moudira were also our favorites of the trip.

Time seemed to go by faster while staying here…

Al Moudira Hotel is truly special - a definite luxury treat. The grounds are beautiful, with hidden spots to rest in the sun, or the lovely pool area. The food at the hotel restaurants was brilliant, really delicious. All of the staff were unfailingly kind and helpful. My highlight was the yoga sessions with Lavkush - he is a generous and gifted yogi, and I was delighted to be able to attend two of his sessions. I would love to take everyone I know here, to share with them the beautiful energy of the place.

Loved it all, but potential negatives for some worth noting: It is quite far out from anything else - but we made a conscious decision to get away from Luxor city to have some quiet time. But I can see how this may be an issue if you go in not knowing that it is quite isolated (although this can be a positive!) It is also quite expensive compared to more budget hotels, but again, we made a conscious design to spend extra for a really special experience.

The property was very beautiful and well maintained. The food, staff and service was brilliant. The yoga teacher on site was also a highlight for my very inflexible husband. The hotel organised 2 days of tours for us with a driver and a guide. Both days everything was amazing! Our tour guide Ahmed was very good and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed our east bank tour, starting at Karnak temple, then Felucca ride at sunset followed by Luxor temple at night. The felucca was so memorable and fun, with tea and music.

Nothing. Everything was fantastic

The place is unique — every detail is thought-through and brings out a special spirit of the hotel. It has a wast territory packed a wide range of restaurants, the pool area, a winter garden, SPA facilities, yoga classes, gym and tennis courts, and a local farm. The authenticity of the interiors and every piece of it (the pillow menu, the scents, the bathrobes from local textile) make the stay memorable. Every room has a bespoke design and looks like a museum. The food is amazing and being prepared mainly from the farm’s produce located on the hotel’s turf. The included buffet breakfast offers endless options. Staying at Al Moudira is an unforgettable experience in itself. I’d recommend planning to stay there without leaving for tours/sightseeing and enjoy the beauty of the place to the fullest.

The staff was the most attentive hotel team I've had the pleasure of interacting with. They knew our large party by name within one day and made our entire trip seamless. While checking in we requested for an extra bed to be put into one of the rooms and it was done in less than 5 minutes! While the hotel is architecturally jaw dropping- it is the staff that truly make the space special. Mr. Mohamed, one of the hotel managers, especially made a point of ensuring our party had a special stay. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The perfect oasis! It had it all: gorgeous property, gardens of jasmine, hibiscus and palm trees, spa and amazing food. The staff's attention to detail and personalized service made a striking impression right from the start. Al Moudira hotel represents is symbol of redefined luxury and service. It is not just a place to stay but a destination where every detail is meticulously crafted to provide guests with an exceptional experience. The hospitality and amenities went far beyond my expectations, and I now carry cherished memories of an unforgettable stay. Without a doubt, I look forward to returning to this magnificent hotel in the future.

My son and I stayed in Al Moudira Hotel for two nights. My son was in awe and I can honestly say that this was the most beautiful and special hotel I ever stayed in. You walk through the door and feel like you are stepping into a new world where the heat and stresses and noises of the outside world disappear. The rooms, the paths with their little fountains and benches and beautiful plants , the restaurants, the pool and the gardens are all amazing. Food is exceptional. Some of it already comes from their own garden and this amount will increase as they are in the process of creating a big vegetable garden and are raising their own animals, chickens, ducks, even water buffalo . All staff and also the manager are very attentive, professional and helpful and always happy to share their knowledge about the hotel and future plans for the hotel but also the town and local village life. We rented some bicycles one morning and cycled around the villages and canals, a great experience. We hope we can come back one day.
