This was a wonderful pairing with our wine tour of Aveleda winery. The staff were amazing, the gentlemen at the reception was welcoming and also recommended a local place to eat called Suzanna ; a true traditional experience. Everything is sparkling new ; the eminities, the bathrobes the bedding, absolute delight. The grounds are manicured, the pool which is pearched on the land is an absolutel delight and well worth the price. The breakfast was delicious and just exceeded expectations. We are so grateful of the discovery and certainly recommend the wonderful, historical location, that of a family gem restored and so welcoming.

We found the hotel from a list of local alternatives provided by a wedding host. We made absolutely the right choice! A very attractive hotel fashioned from an old granite house and converted into a quietly stylish jewel of a place to stay in the hills close to Porto and the Douro valley. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We would happily stay there again but next time we would hire a car. Local taxis are fine but for ease and convenience having access to a car is best.

The hotel in just fabulous! We had a big, bright and modern room, very comfortable and super clean. It is very quiet at night and a beautiful view over the landscape. The pool is fantastic with beautiful views as well. The staff was beyong helpful and friendly and helped us a lot with organizing transport to a wedding we were attending and even provided us late check-in and late check-out! We want to thank them very much! We were very happy and can recommend 100%

The breakfast offering wasn’t really varied and there was sewage smell in the rooms overnight and really put us off.

The property is stunning. The location is beautiful. The staff was amazing. The food was delicious.

The bed mattress was a bit hard for my liking but otherwise everything was impeccable!
