Great location…access to private beach and public beach as well as pool. Spacious room with good facilities. Reception doubles as a bar so you can purchase a bottle of wine and drink by the beach/pool while soaking in the gorgeous weather. Great eating nearby or courtesy bus to local pub closer in the town centre…came on musical bingo night so had a great time. It was stinger season so mainly locals swimming; not game to test the salt water but pool was lovely for a quick dip.

A bit dated…cracks in concrete stairwell. Annoying light on balcony outside room so had to close bathroom door to block out all the light. Pool area needed updating with tired broken Lounge chairs and fence solar fairy lights that didn’t work…would have done a lot to enhance the evening swim.

The location of this resort is outstanding. Beautiful bays on two sides, both easily accessible within a minute or two’s walk. Depending on which side your room is will mean you’ll either see the sun rise or set. Honestly, either is amazing. We actually saw whales from our room, so that’s an unexpected surprise. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Our bathroom was a good size and it had great water pressure. The grounds are beautifully kept, with bird life and trees aplenty. We will certainly be back.

We liked everything about our stay but some points to consider for others. Some rooms are only accessible by stairs so do be sure to ask for a downstairs room if carrying your luggage upstairs is a problem. Also, whilst there is parking onsite, you may not always get one close by your unit. Parking is not undercover for most of the units.

Amazing views of the beach and stunning sunsets from the balcony. Great location close to Horseshoe bay, cafe and restaurant. Towels changed frequently which we didn’t expect.

Unfortunately the building close to our accommodation was having the roof replaced so on several morning we awoke early to the sound of noisy building works and constant beeping. We understand this had to be done sometime but we hadn’t been advised. Unfortunate timing for us.

The location was perfect. Well kept grounds and a comfortable place to spend our time. The rooms are spacious and we had a beautiful outlook from our ground level apartment.

While the kitchen was well stocked, there was only the minimum plates, cups, cutlery for 2 people. If you need plates and bowls for serving you may have to bring your own.

An outstanding place to stay sandwiched between two attractive beaches on the outskirts of Bowen. Our upstairs unit was spacious and clean and had fabulous views from the valcony out over the well kept grounds to the ocean. We self catered, but the motel has a bar and there is a restaurant down by one of the beaches which is open on certain days of the week. I understand there is also a Thai restaurant nearby which opens at weekends. We enjoyed the circular walk up to the radar station lookout and clambering over the rocks to a couple more secuded coves. There is also a swimming pool sensibly situated to the side of the building we were in. Reception was friendly and efficient, and we appreciated the on site laundry.

Nothing, we had a great stay.

The location was beautiful. Our room looked out onto Horseshoe Bay. Friendly and helpful staff. We dined at the Cafe 50m away and had Chinese Takeaway from the Cove Restaurant next door. So everything is nice and close.

Hard to find anything wrong but niggles include the fact that there was only 1dining chair inside, only 1 face washer, and mysteriously only 1 biscuit supplied. Just seemed a bit strange as there were 2 people booked in.

The location is amazing and beach access to two beaches within few steps. Very quiet, clean and nicely landscaped with small pool and easy car parking. Swimming, snorkelling, bushwalking, kayaking within easy reach.

We missed couch in our room that had 4 beds. We had a patio with a table and four chairs but in winter, it is dark and cold early in the evening so we had to sit on the beds.

great location and value for money. well maintained both rooms and grounds. liked the bar onsite with reasonably priced bottle's of wine. only a short walk to the beach and a couple of restaurants although the pubs in town offered variety also at reasonable prices.

it must be a Queensland thing apposed to what is available in Victoria, limited cafes for coffee and just a sandwich or pie. along with the number of take away restaurants and petrol sites. also be aware of shop trading hours they very different to Melbourne.

Good size deck with table & chairs to enjoy the unexpected beautiful view of the sea! Spacious, comfortable, kitchenette, good parking for Utes, cafe /bar walking distance that has live background music etc. Very friendly welcoming! After a long drive was really nice.

Towels and tea towels have odour like they are due to replace from a lot of use.

Great place for a relaxing holiday. The beaches were only metres away, walking down a track from the property. Horseshoe bay beach is great for swimming. The beach cafe/restruant is 50metres walk, also an Asian restruant is very close. All units had great views. A very friendly atmosphere, Janet and John were great hosts. We would definately go there again. Thanks guys. Wendy and Jim
