The hotel is located in lovely open countryside on the edge of Herkenbosch. Lots of trees, greenery and places to walk a dog or cycle if you are inclined. We stayed in a split level room (11) in the annex. The bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. There was air conditioning which was necessary as it was quite warm and humid duting our three night stay. The ensuite bathroon was also large and had a good shower. Annoyingly there were no hooks to hang wet towels after showering. There was a heated towel rain at the end of the bath but because of where it was it was slightly awkward to get to. Access to the bedroom was by quite steep stairs and in my opinion not suitable for someone with mobility issues. Breakfast was very good. There was a good choice of fruit, breads, cheeses and cold meats. The warm food, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages was actually warm which is not always the case in some hotels. We didn't eat in the restaurant at night as we ate with relatives staying closeby in Melick.

The downstairs sitting area of the room was quite dark and the lighting not optimal. We didn't draw the curtains at night for fear of pulling the curtain rails off the wall. Luckily we were not overlooked. The TV channels available were limited. If I'm honest I feel that, that part of the room could do with some updating, but again perhaps the owners consider it to be in keeping with the rest of the castle?

Beautiful property, lovely area to walk and bike. The hotel itself is very very beautiful and the room was super nice -a duplex suite opening onto a huge garden

The room was not cleaned properly before our arrival. The bathroom bin was full from the previous guest and had not been cleaned. The towels were damp and on the terrace there were dirty glasses and the ashtrays were full. Obviously the terrace had not been cleaned at all. That was not nice.

Excellent property, the environment is very good, the property keep in a good conditions, the room is big enough for a family, there are very nice living room at the ground, and are small coffee table at the outdoor. The sleeping room and the bath room at the upper floor. Everything are look fine and elegant. We dinner at the restaurant, the food and service is very good.

The breakfast could be better. The swimming pool and the golf are not inside the property, there are around 3KM from the property.

Very pretty castle and surroundings. Restaurant was fabulous, really good food and great staff.

The fact that the windows in the tower are covered with black mold. That needs to be taken care of, not good for your health if you staying more than one night for sure!!

Excellent location. Its an old kastel , it has the old kastel looks but the rooms and interiors are very well renovated. Nice ambiance surrounded with lots of greenery and nature. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. They had a nice wine collection as well.

Beautiful location

The rooms in the tower are great. the other rooms are a little outdated. And a hotel isn’t really “dog friendly” when the dog has to stay in the room and isn’t allowed anywhere else.

Big open space with grass land and with some historic castle buildings. Feel like away from city life.

Curtains were so difficult to close and have to have up in the end.

The restaurant and staff are extremely friendly and customer-orientated! Loved our days over there.

The quality of the bed good be a little better.
