I liked that breakfast was included. I liked that you could walk downtown. We only drove our car the night we got there because of the shoes I was wearing (high wedge sandals). The common areas in both houses were decorated beautifully. The Jasmine was in bloom and smelled heavenly. It was a great place to spend quality time with my Sweetheart, away from our three kids (one teen and two young adults).

I really think that they could serve a better cup of coffee. I'm not sure the brand they use, but it was not great. Thankfully, we found a great coffee shop downtown that was delightful. Their coffee was great.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. Our room was huge with a king size bed and sitting area with a sofa. Bed was very comfortable with a lot of nice pillows. Bathroom was small but had a nice tub/shower. There was a glass shelf over the sink to put makeup on. Room and bathroom were very clean. A/C & heat worked well. Could not adjust temperature, but it was always a comfortable temperature. The breakfasts were awesome. Fresh fruit cup was very fresh & delicious. Had small homemade filled with raspberry donuts. All the food was delicious and served on beautiful china. Individual tables to sit at for breakfast. The mangers, Gigi & Noah were so nice and made us feel very welcome. The location of the Governors Inn is close to downtown. Walkable to downtown area and welcome center. Plenty of parking behind Inn for our big SUV. Sensor spotlights come on at night so felt very safe there. We highly recommend staying here! Dr & Mrs D. H. Bridger, III

Would have been nice if there was a laminated sheet in the room explaining how to work TV since we stayed during March madness and wanted to watch some of the basketball games. We did get it working after talking to Noah. It is an old home, so not many electrical outlets for charging devices. Recommend bring long extension cord and adapter to charge several devices at one time.

Location, lots of outdoor seating, breakfast was great, large bathroom, comfortable bed, friendly staff. The room stayed cool and comfortable and didn't have smelly air freshener which is a big deal to us.

Would have been nice to have a second chair in our room. I think the lightbulb in the shower may have been out but there was plenty of overhead lights and lamps .

Breakfast was wonderful. The facility was great and our room and bathroom were amazing. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The TV was complicated to work and the remote was hard to figure out. At the end of the day we just wanted to watch a little TV before going to sleep. We couldn't do it the first night but the 2nd night we were able by accident I"m sure to get it on a channel with old movies. Something needs to change with the TVs.

Edenton was a lovely little town with a quaint downtown for shopping, walking history tour and viewing the Sound. We were there for the July 4 fireworks over the Sound which was very well done for such a remote, small town. The Captain's Quarters are wonderfully clean and well-maintained rooms in two wonderful 100+ year old homes. Very comfortable bed and different, delicious breakfast each morning.

I wish we had more time to spend at the B&B, but I wanted to go into town and shop, eat and drink. Our room was quiet and comfortable with cold water and umbrella (it was raining).

We didn't see anyone around for breakfast and that would have been nice before we left, but there were bananas.

The location is walkable to downtown, and the room was comfortable and a good size with an amazing bathroom.

The decor in the room was blah. I would suggest the inn add some colorful artwork and re-upholster the easy chair. A fluffy bathrobe would be nice addition. The breakfast was severely underwhelming. No fruit or yogurt were offered, the coffee was meh, and the muffin was clearly store-bought. The portion offered was meager.

This is a lovely town for a stop, and the Captain's Quarters was beautiful. It was a short ten minute walk to the waterfront with restaurants and a lovely walk. We walked the neighborhood to see the beautiful architecture. Staff was lovely, and breakfast wonderful. We would definitely come back.

Everything was great

This is the second time we have stayed here and Both times I was Extremely happy. The beds are SO comfortable- The rooms are amazing and the staff goes over and above to be helpful and kind and welcoming. The location is perfect- Very close to shops and restaurants. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good. The location is excellent.

The shower head was too strong snd didnt appear yo be adjustable. We would have liked another chair sine there eere two of us.
