Quiet,facing beach with shady paved esplanade with exercise stations. Well used esplanade and very pleasant with restaurants at either end.Patrolled netted swimming area across the way with washrooms at base of Yorkey's Knob proper. Clean well maintained quiet retirement enclave, northern beach of Cairns. Staff were very obliging and friendly, with Aussie sense of humour. Loved the decor of my apartment. Simple and summery and clean. The divan was firm and comfortable. I was able to stay and check in early and rest there as soon as my apartment was ready. Parking was covered. Wonderful. Gardens were well kept and blooming. Birds were plentiful nesting and noisy.. Loved it.

The air conditioning said the filter needed to be changed. I forgot to mention that to management. A bedside lamp had a loose charging connection for my electronics.Pretty finicky.

Location was perfect - close to beach, shops, marina, public transport if required, and some great walks close by. Apartment was self contained, modern, very clean and had a great balcony. Swimming pool and BBQ facilities available to all guests.

Minimal bathroom supplies available - would suggest some shower gel, tissues, more loo paper etc. No kitchen cooking supplies available - would recommend a cupboard/shelf where guests could leave unused items such as salt, pepper, sauces etc - Everything had to be purchased from scratch.

Lovely quiet beachfront apartment, clean well maintained, comfortable beds. Wonderful and helpful hosts Ed and May. Good size TV. Pool was very inviting. Balcony was very spacious with table/chairs and a sun lounger. Boat Club great for a meal and lovely outlook

Would have loved a Seaview, but alas the trees are too tall now to see it. Only had to walk across the road though. It was great to have a bath but a little too short to relax in fully.

Good location, covered car park. Good sized apartment. Handy for bus, 50 cent ride to Smithfield or Cairns. Good size, well maintained pool. Ed allowed us to park in bay with power point so we could pre-cool our car fridge for onward journey. Lots of brochures for local attractions.

The apartments had everything our family needed for a home away from home. Plus a lovely balcony which we sat out on when dining overlooking the beautiful pool and gardens. Great location within easy drive to airport and the city of Cairns. Quiet, yet some local shops boasted a grocery store, chemist shop, wine/beer store and a delightful unpretentious and friendly Thai restaurant.

I didn’t like the fact I had to walk upstairs but survived. I had an apartment on the 1st floor and my adult grandchildren were on the 2nd floor. We coped.

Two flights of stairs & shower in bath challenged my old body but were achievable. Ed the manager had problems with Booking.com who got pricing incorrect however Ed solved the dilemma with a smile

Quiet convenient location. Recently renovated apartment, ample undercover parking.

Surprised to learn that change of towels on a five day stay was $30. WiFi was woeful

Clean, pleasant flat opposite a lovely beach. Friendly manager.

Excessive noise. Repairs after the floods earlier in the year, which obviously were essential, meant that there was a lot of drilling, electric saws and banging in the flat complex. The community garden mower and leaf-blower probably exceeded safety noise levels.

Very pleasant and obliging managers. Location is excellent - walking distance to the shops and a number of restaurants. Close to town.

Nothing really. Maybe parking is a bit tight but there's no solution to that.

Close enough to Cairns without being directly in Cairns. You were across from the beach, so that was lovely. Also, you got your own car parking spot which was really good.

There were quite a few dead bugs and live little roaches around the place. Might need to be fumigated or something.
