Our room was huge! We overlooked the river and the old railway bridge and it was so pretty. The breakfast was superb! I’ve never tasted a nicer poached egg before! Grand hotel vibes with a cozy feel. Great location for exploring west cork

If you are late back at night (after 11.30pm) - it is a bit of a challenge to enter the building as they lock the doors. There is a night porter but we managed to get in by asking other hotel guests in the lobby to open the door for us. The bar is okay and great for a cup of tea and something light to eat but the pint of Guinness is not the best in town.

The breakfast was excellent. The hot food was freshly cooked, not buffet style, so everything was piping hot. We had dinner the 3 nights of our stay. As meat eaters we found the beef second to none! The dining areas and bar were relaxing and appealing. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room, superior double, was a good size and the bed (I think ) was super king. The hotel was "traditional" and not like the newer hotel chains or boutique types. It was calm and relaxing.

The only fault I found with the West Cork Hotel was that it didn't have a walk in shower in the bathroom. Only a bathtub with an overhead shower which might not be suitable for everyone.

Quaint hotel where Staff are friendly, professional & very welcoming. Large clean comfortable Room and we had a lovely view over looking river. Location is great, right in the Center of town with parking. Dinner was ok but breakfast was way better. Lovely Irish breakfast and again staff were so nice and accommodating.

Could do with a lick of paint here and there, especially on entrance to room. Could do with some sort of net curtain or fly screen on windows. As it was warm we had windows open but being right by the river the flies had an open window to fly in and stay ! Can be loud at night with people entering and leaving hotel.

West Cork Hotel was a stop in our trip around Ring of Kerry. A very good choice, the room had a beautiful view to the river, swans floating on the surface, flowers everywhere, magnificent. The food was excellent, a mix of self help breakfast bar & Irish breakfast cooked on the spot. The food was delicious, very good coffee. Room and toilets were spotless. The bathroom was huge, equipped with way too many towels. Good quality for the money we paid.

The hotel was well furnished in a modern style. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi and lots of free parking on site. It was located in the centre of town adjacent to a river. The breakfast was very good with different options.

Some rooms would have had great views over the river and surrounding countryside. Unfortunately, we were given one which looked out directly onto a rendered wall. We had no view at all. No options were given at the time of me booking.

Wanted to stay outside of larger cities on our trip around the island and Skibbereen was a perfect location and the West Cork Inn fit our requirements perfectly. It's a rustic building with all the modern comforts and the staff and restaurant were wonderful. We felt Skibbereen was a great start with a history that is both fascinating and tragic. A must visit for those that want real incite on Irish history.

We got a very big room so we were delighted, I loved the beds very comfy. Food was quite good also.

Only complaint I can say is the heat in our room was ridiculous. We did put on a fan which was. In the cupboard but it done very little, I suppose our room was at the back,no air. An elderly person would love it or it would be fine in winter, but that's the only thing I can say negative, otherwise lovely hotel. We will be back.

I loved the friendly vibe of the staff, the location on the edge of town, easy to find and free parking. I normally give hotel food a miss as I am usually disappointed, but the food in West Cork Hotel was wonderful and served with a smile. Both breakfast and dinner options had plenty of choice. The room was plenty big for us which included a table and two chairs, the bathroom was lovely and warm with an easy to use shower which was a bonus as I have fought with many a bathroom shower over the years!!

Nothing to dislike

Spotlessly clean and comfortable hotel. Old style hospitality and ideal location to explore Skibbereen and the area. The staff were friendly and very obliging, especially Alice at the front desk and Sheila at breakfast. Our room (109) was extremely well-appointed and looked like it had been recently renovated. We were sorry to have only been staying for one night and will hopefully be able to come back to the West Cork soon for another stay.

The room was bigger than most with a separate sitting area. The bathroom had a separate bath and a large shower. Every day our room was cleaned, fresh towels and beds made. Lovely views of the river Ilen and Skibbereen heritage centre. Close to the shops and local pubs and restaurants.

The bed was a bit hard for me but my husband thought it was fine so it's a personal preference.
