The location, food & staff

Kids were running & screaming up and down the corridors up to 11.30am. We were travelling with a toddler & 5 yr old and they were constantly disturbed by the noise.

The Celtic Ross was so well located for exploring West Cork. The room, whilst a little dated, was absolutely spotlessly clean with beautiful white bed linen and white fluffy bath sheets. The room was very quiet and beds comfortable so we all slept well. We had dinner on the evening we arrived and the chowder and roast beef were great choices. One guest has dietary restrictions and was accommodated without any issue . The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and would return.

It’s a little dated but that wouldn’t prevent us returning to stay

I loved the location. It was nice to go for a walk around the lagoon and it was a short walk to the main town square. The breakfast staff and food was fantastic. The hotel has nice amenities and lots of comfortable common space to enjoy.

No air conditioning. We had a fan in our room which made it bearable but it was humid and warm and very little air came through the window when we opened it. I didn’t like the shower curtain in the tub because it kept going into the tub and sticking to me as I was showering which was annoying.

Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere at this hotel. Bedrooms very nicely decorated. Public seating area bright and comfortable. Food very well presented and good value.

Unfortunately the lift was not working. We were given a room on first floor which helped. The hotel did notify us about the lift before our stay.

The room was very comfortable and the beds were great. The bathroom was big with a strong shower. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very efficient.

The bathroom door was difficult to open after locking.

This is a comfortable hotel with good beds and very high standards of housekeeping. The restaurant is good and staff are friendly and efficient.

The decor in the rooms is relentlessly grey. The view from my room took in the local graveyard and the roof of another part of the building. All of this was a bit grim. The swimming pool was very busy and the dressing rooms cramped. Though all of these issues were off-putting, I would still return to the hotel because of the quality of the accommodation, housekeeping and food

Quality food, tasty and fresh ingredients. Attentive staff with great local knowledge and advice for sightseeing. Live music a bonus, and relaxed atmosphere in bar/lobby area

Location with views of the lagoon, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Hotel is very comfortable and the food was lovely.

Door at the end of the corridor makes a loud noise with people coming through but it wasn't terribly disturbing.

The hotel was in a beautiful location. It was such a quiet hotel to stay in which I loved , the interior of the rooms with the map built into the desk and lockers was very nice ,the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows , the staff were all really nice , the leisure center although a bit dated had everything you needed and it was very quiet . Village and beach both within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the price . I had asked for an earlier check in and they accommodated it no problem. They are very eco friendly and didn't provide any unnecessary plastic like shower hats and small soaps instead there is a hand soap /body wash on the wall in a reusable bottle . I would 100% stay here again

The TV was very limited on channels and didn't have any options to cast a streaming service from your phone , when I took a shower the bathroom floor flooded because I think there was a broken seal in the bath and it flooded the floor so I had to use all the towels to try and dry it , view of the graveyard isn't isnt the nicest view but these things wouldn't put me off staying here again
