Beautiful, well presented accommodation, we loved our short stay in the Brown Hen Guest House and wished we could have stayed longer. Gwyneth made us feel very welcome on arrival. The room is very nicely decorated and fitted out. Every detail has been thought about, so you are short of nothing. Lovely home-made bread accompanying assorted breakfast choice. It was our first ever night in Irland and it felt like a lovely treat at the start of our holiday. Thankyou

It's a little out of town so driving to restaurants and bars is essential.

Super friendly hostess, wonderful home cooked breakfast, beautiful garden & country side views to wake up to out the large glass doors. She was very gracious and understanding to let us check in late due to our luggage being lost. You can tell she loves doing this by all the details to make the suite beautiful. Also, a nice treat to have a few chocolates for us.

It was a big surprise that we were actually sleeping in a lodge inside a farm, with many cows as our neighbors! Gwyneth was very caring and always tried her best to help. The room was big, clean and well-equipped. The hidden pantry, disguised as a wardrobe, was another surprise to us. Preparing breakfast on our own with all the provisions was fun.

To us, the location was quite remote. We were unfortunate to arrive on a Tuesday when almost all restaurants in Bandon were not open. We were not able to find a restaurant for dinner even with the enthusiastic help of Gwyneth. It was also a pity that the weather was not good and we could not enjoy the farm more.

Exceeded beyond expectations! I stayed a number of nights for my work purposes. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, entrance is separate and independent which you feel you have ultimate privacy. My room(s) were/was well equipped with whatever I needed or felt or I expected to have from a 5-star Hotel. I loved the tranquility of the place, the farm with the cows, and the hens of course. It was not too close to my work place but I loved it, so I didn't want to get a closer accommodation to my workplace. Absolutely wonderful stay! Everything was perfect during our stay. The place was beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive — we truly felt at home. The breakfast was generous, varied, and met every need — a great way to start the day! Highly recommended, and we would definitely return. Thank you again for the great hospitality!

There was absolutely nothing negative to mention..

Our little lodge really felt like our own. There was a small kitchen with a microwave, eggs, cereals, teas, coffees, and a fridge stocked with juices and sandwich fillings. Our bed was incredibly comfortable and the room cozy and beautifully decorated with fabulous views of the countryside. Our host, could not have been better. Present if needed, but not intrusive. Happy to share local recommendations. Out stay was brilliant all-round.

Everything was amazing!

Beautifully decorated accommodation with everything we needed for our 3 nights. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess. Extra touches like big white fluffy towels every day, homemade wheaten bread and carrot cake added to the stay. Very quiet location set in beautiful countryside.

A little out of the way but as long as you have car it’s not an issue.

Wonder continental breakfast in our suite. More options than we needed and delicious fresh bread. Several tea and coffee options.

Even though we could enjoy the full beauty of the surroundings, (fog and rain) the accommodations were perfect and the host was gracious and welcoming. We wished our itinerary had allowed us to stay longer.

Gweneth provided a warm friendly welcome and the accommodation was just superb. A self contained suite, the space was beautifully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean, the bathroom was in a parr with what you would expect from a high end hotel and the main space, which is cleverly designed to incorporate bedroom, lounge, and dining is very tasteful and finished to a high standard. In the corner of this space is a wardrobe kitchenette which is very well equipped and convenient. Everything has been thought of at the Brown Hen Guest House to provide a very comfortable, luxury experience - all situated in beautiful countryside which is in full view from the suite. We were touring Ireland on motorbikes and these too were accommodated and we felt happy they were safe and secure in this quiet haven. Nothing was too much and Gweneth went over and beyond to ensure we were well looked after during our stay. The perfect host and wonderful cook of homemade fayre for breakfast, she and her lovely family added to our wonderful experience of visiting Ireland.

Nothing - everything was superb!

The Brown Hen is a beautiful accommodation. We travelled for a wedding nearby and stayed here the night before. A few minutes into Bandon. Such a quiet area. Gwenyth is so lovely also. I loved the decor, the cosy space & the little surprise kitchen unit. Very compact and cosy overall! I would definitely stay again.
