Loved the restaurant and the residence bar.
Thought the down stairs bar was a bit cold and and uninviting. Ordered a evening meal to our room. 45 min wait and then they brought the wrong food. They did charge us for the meal but it was nearly an hour and a half before we got the correct order.

We very much enjoyed the location and the pool which was very welcome in view of the weather. Enjoyable meals in the bar although vegetarian options could be extended (this applies to most places). My husband left a cap in the room and the hotel was kind enough to send it on to us. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts sitting by the window with the wonderful view.
The lift was not working. We had a long walk into Clonakilty in the rain. This is not the hotel's fault, but public transport could be better for those who are not motorised.

Beautiful location that was enhanced by exceptional weather during our three day stay in West Cork. The staff were courteous and helpful at all times. We will definitely return for another weekend break.
Gulf stream restaurant menu wasn't to our taste, we dined in the Bistro, I would not recommend, the food is expensive and is not good. We both tried different dishes over the 2 nights and the quality was poor and the portions are small. Crab roll is mostly sauce and for €25 a rob. I would recommend taking the time to go to clonakilty. After the first night we planned to, however returning late from an excursion meant we had no choice but to dine there.

The room, lovely staff and good food which was Exceptional in the dining room.
No evening entertainment. I find this is a problem with most hotels. If there was entertainment it would pay for itself as people would stay in the hotel in the evening and eat and drink there.

Location, design, decor and pool/spa facilities, plus bar food.
Gulfstream Restaurant needs to "cop itself on" as it is way overpriced for a mediocre fixed price Dinner. Food and service fell short of expectations unfortunately.

beach location was to die for , felt like The Hamptons! beautiful spacious rooms. fab aspect of Gulf Stream restraunt.. lucky enough to have window seat both for dinner and breakfast. very friendly helpful staff.
large double king size bed seemed to be 2 beds pushed together with large hump in the centre joining ? bar had no real atmosphere, we were the only people having a drink on Sunday night at 10.45.. whilst the bar man thought it was a good idea to start scrubbing the floor in front of the bar with what sounded like a yard brush .. it was quite irritating and off putting .. when we finished up we we went up to residents bar .. shutter was down we rang bell but no one came so we went to our room. spa treatment was excellent lovely friendly therapist called Jo.. very enjoyable experience… relaxation area very tired could do with a bit more thought .. the views are breathtaking but it could be presented better.

The location of this hotel is superb, Inchydowney beach which is directly accessed is one of the most beautiful in Ireland and all rooms face out to the sea, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the pool and spa are exceptional, it is just a fabulous spot.
It would have been great if the menu contained more choice for vegetarians and perhaps less fried food generally.

Amazing hotel; so much so that my wife and I almost changed the rest of our itinerary to stay here longer. It's tucked away in a quiet location, with incredible service and a variety of great amenities.
