Lovely Bed and Breakfast in great location. Very clean and bright and a very spacious room. Staff were great very helpful friendly and cheerful. Nice room for all to relax away from the bedroom.

When I booked a few days in advance my payment was taken and I was then sent an email asking for driving licence. I had to produce my driving licence on arrival. Why I'm not sure as we stayed in other lovely places in Cork and this was not asked for this. Did not like the coffee from machine at breakfast would have liked proper filtered coffee.

The hotel is really charming and stylish. At the reception, we were greeted by a very friendly and excellent customer service young man. Special thanks to him! The room was large, stylish, very clean and really quiet! The room felt luxurious! The bed had down pillows and blankets. Breakfast was served in a breakfast room with a no phone ban, great!! The breakfast room was cozy, quiet and the waitres was very sunny and friendly. The breakfast was really good!

We loved everything!

Very new clean sleek rooms in a classic old historic house. Bed was comfortable. Shower very nice. Parking is on street. After 6pm parking free till 10.30am the next morning. You will need to pay and display in the afternoons. There are a couple of totally free lots about 5-10 min walk away, but with suitcases that would be a hassle. Breakfast is above average. High quality expensive cheeses and pastries on the continental buffet. Cappuccino machine for latte, espresso, americano, etc. It's better quality coffee than the filtered drip at other guest houses. Also provides the cooked plate of full Irish breakfast. Nice guesthouse and an excellent stay in Kinsale.

Breakfast cooked to order was perfect! Took care of keeping medicine that needed to be refrigerated cold for us. Always greeted us with a smiel and conversation when we came in.

Didn't like would be strong statement. We crazy Americans always pack too heavy. As we discussed with Peter, an elevator would be nice but not possible in that historic building. In lieu of that, might consider finding a bell hop to carry luggage to the top floor.

I absolutely loved staying at Long Quay House. Rasa & Peter and their, son, Karolis, are a delightful family, so kind and thoughtful, absolutely wonderful hosts. Everything exceeded my expectations. They helped me carry my bags, took great care of me during my stay in early July (3 nights). My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. Rasa is a wonderful chef and the housekeeper (Yolita) is lovely as well. The shower is incredible; good water pressure and it has a nice little shelf for toiletries (rare!) The location is perfect for exploring Kinsale on foot or the area by car. They suggested a good parking spot (free parking) and I was able to drive to a beautiful beach in Garretstown, 17 min away. A highlight of my stay was dinner at FishyFishy, which is just a few minutes walk from Long Quay House. Peter is very knowledgeable of the area, too, and had lots of good suggestions. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

No complaints

On many of our short-stay trips to towns and cities we want to enjoy dining out in restaurants, rather than feeling tied to a hotel. Long Quay House gave us the joy of an excellently maintained and run bed and breakfast, with a friendly, family-run feel. You are made to feel very much at home. Parking was free and much nearer than we had expected from the website, being just a two minute walk away. A host of welcoming shops, restaurants and pubs within very easy walking distance. We will definitely try to stay at Long Quay House again if we are in the area.

I love to complain, and there was nothing to complain about!

A very warm and welcoming greeting on arrival from Peter. The room was five plus star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spotlessly clean, super comfortable with lovely natural light and great views. So close to everything, easy parking just across the road. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, a must try is the soda bread and Rasa’s homemade berry jam, delicious!! We recommend you pay a visit, so worth it! Thank you Peter & Rasa for your kind hospitality x

Peter and his team couldn’t be more accommodating if they tired! A lovely hotel run by lovely people! Great location over looking the harbour, we managed to get lucky room No7 which was huge and surrounded by double glazed sash windows which really kept the noise out!! Breakfast is a must too, go for the full Irish you won’t be disappointed!!

We just cannot think of a negative!!

The staff were ever so helpful and understanding. We had a little complication over check in and this was made a breeze for us. The rooms were exceptional, clean and a perfect space to relax. The breakfast was fantastic. The location is close to all amenities. We were attending a wedding and the owner made sure we had our taxis booked as it can be very difficult to get one on Saturdays.

We only stayed one night at Long Quay House but would happily have stayed longer. It’s in a perfect location for exploring Kinsale. There is a large car park just opposite which is free from 6.30pm to 10.30am. The accommodation is absolutely spotless and our room was spacious and comfortable with a seating area. The bathroom has a brilliant shower and the toiletries are really nice. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of hot and cold options.

The only suggestions we could make would be bigger cups or mugs in the room and perhaps a bigger shelf in the bathroom for a wash bag but this really is splitting hairs!
